Not good, not bad either. Went a year ago and blew me away. This time restaurant was neatly empty, and food very bland. Seemed completely different and to have lost its way.
Very good food, great place and a very good service to boot. Definitely the one for the do it again list. Will definitely be back
Really great food and atmosphere! Steak was perfect, chicken was perfect.. pretty much licked all the plates clean. Service got a bit slow towards the end as the place filled up, but didnt detract from the overall experience.
Delicious food, friendly service. Very loud interior because there's nothing to absorb the music & voices, but other than that we had a great time.
Incredible and attentive service, delicious food and a really good atmosphere. Negroni and honeycomb espresso cocktails and red wine - highly recommend! The gallery upstairs is also interesting!
Very attentive staff, great food, beautiful setting and knowing it all goes to help charity makes it a really special place to dine. Loved it!
Great food and restaurant Unfortunate that they didnt say it was a set up menu minimum $80/pp at the booking!!!!! But it was okay overall
the food was really good and the idea was great, donate all the profit to the charity, love there, and will go to the cafe again next time
A lovely experience at Folonomo. The concept is wonderful. The service was impeccable, very friendly, extremely accommodating but also not intrusive. The food was interesting and different. The curry was really fantastic.
Great concept, good ambience, good & helpful service, interesting variety of food on the relatively small menu, worth a try if you haven't been before.
Service was great. Food was unique and delicious. We did the banquet menu, which included many courses however small portions. The steak was devine however the dessert was rich, too rich for me.
fantastic everything as usual!!! that's why we keep coming back
Great food, awesome service and great cause donating all profits to charity. Only thing chairs are uncomfortable and tables very small for a group with lots of food.
The food was wonderful and the staff super attentive. I would recommend for small groups or date night. Of course, the fact that the profit goes to charity makes the food extra-feel-good!
Fresh quality food for a great philosophy behind the practice and giving. Cute courtyard also which enhances the experience. Clean amenities too. Service is ok.
The food was great, and service very good. Although perhaps a little less pace would have been nice. Quick to take away things & then didn't bring bill when we asked for it - go figure.
Very good food and service. Wine list a little odd but adequate. Courses served at a good pace. Would recommend the restaurant to all my friends
Easy to find and casual atmosphere. Staff were attentive and service was smooth. Food not only looked good but also full of flavour. Feeling good knowing the money spent goes towards a good cause.
Best dish sweet and bitter leaves then the calamari. Great service and love the BYO option on Tuesdays. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
Really enjoyed the food and service - very cozy spot! Fantastic that proceeds go to charity as well. We will definitely be coming back again!
great food for a good cause with great service from staff. The special cocktail Summer in Kyoto was particularly good. The quail with apricot and almond pure with parika oil was absolutely amazing.
Food was super tasty. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable, going over and above to make it a really great dining experience. We will definitely return.
Highly recommended. Beautiful food and service is fantastic. Love the terrace house and the decor. The menu is variety. The terrine and quail are amazing. The waiter told us menu will be changed every 3 months. Will go back for sure.
Great food. Great ambience. Great Service. Great value! Love this place. I would highly recommend as someone nice and cosy for catch up with friends or to take out visitors/out-of-towners!
if you book online, I would recommend leaving a comment or phoning to state you want to be sat in the restaurant not opposite the kitchen in a bar style format (unless you like that). The food was very nice, we opted for the banquet ($70 pp). The entrees did come out too fast though (had 4-5 on the table at one point) and the mains then came out pretty slowly. All together a good experience though, would recommend if you havent been there
Food was great, but felt a bit rushed by the service and would have preferred to be seated away from a large, noisy corporate function.
While we accepted the social aims of the restaurant we felt the menu was a bit underwhelming and underseasoned. concept was fine but the flavours werent very bold.
The seating was very uncomfortable. I love to sit at a restaurant after dining until my meal digests - it was lacking warmth and comfortable, cosy seating.
Good value creative food on offer with interesting wines available by the glass. Friendly relaxed service. Artwork upstairs well worth checking out. Very enjoyable evening.
Food tasty although brussels sprouts seemed a bit undercooked. Service was also ok. Basically it was a satisfactory experience but nothing spectacular so probably won't return.
Beautifully presented food, mostly great service although at times felt rushed due to the waiter checking the table frequently. Very nice atmosphere and unique combinations of ingredients. Highly recommended
Food service atmosphere are amazing. Their menu changes every three months and an art gallery up stairs! Even better. 100% profit goes to charities...feels good!
Great service, good pace of meals coming out and nice portion sizes. Follow your waiters advice as we did for best results. The Riesling was lovely too.
Beautiful food, great service, friendly staff, warm and hospitable environment.
Cosy restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food! Simple dishes that are flavourful and filling. The flatbread for a starter was perfect, and our mains were just as satisfying. Highly recommended!
Great food and wine - the orange wine was divine with the shredded prawns. Design of the place was also lovely and added to a nice ambience but some staff are more knowledgable than others.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Folonomo. Enjoyed the unique menu, personable staff, location and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Murray Cod and amazing desserts.
Lovely little restaurant. Would love to have learnt more about the charities they donate too etc but good atmosphere, friendly staff and overall good food
The food was good but not exceptional... I liked the concept of the not for profit. The place was a little noisy and it was difficult to have a conversation at times.
Service was good staff were friendly but the website is not clear about byo. (only on tuesday) The rawfish was really tasty, recommended by staff.
Great Atmosphere and Amazing food. Small menu but plenty of variety. Worth a visit just to have the Nigella flat bread. King Fish was favourite of the dishes we had
Fantastic! Always good service and food is always amazing! 😍 price is reasonable also - highly recommended!
The perfect meal. Amazing food, service and philanthropic pay it forward feeling. The meal was creative and tasted divine, and the atmosphere was cosy and inviting.
return visit .Wasnt that great .Bad smell of where we were initially seated and had to ask to be moved to another table in another section. service not as good as the first time we went. wont be going back in a hurry.............
Staff and drinks were amazing food so disappointing. New many pls! The only enjoyable dish we had was the tapioca dumplings! Cocktails and wine list are on point. Staff was amazing and very attentive. If they change the menu or have better execution on the food we'll definitely come back.
There were 6 of us so we chose the banquet menu, which whilst it was not the cheapest option, was good value. Beautiful flavours, and so much of it! The barramundi was our favourite, along with the tapioca fritters. The first five courses came in a rush then we asked for a break, which became a really long gap. Perhaps ask to space out the courses more evenly. The service was good though our waitress kept saying spicy when she meant spiced, which meant my son who doesn't like spicy food missed out, despite our reassurances! Overall, great food, good atmosphere and we love the idea of a restaurant with a social conscience, putting profits back into the community. Enjoy!
Such a cosy and welcoming restaurant... the food was delicious - really interesting flavours with great cocktails and wine to match. The staff were friendly and very helpful. And just the fact that all profits go to charity makes your evening so much better. Remember to tip!
Loved the ambience, really cosy. Had a table in the little courtyard out the back, which is really cute, with blankets in case it gets cold, which it didn't. Great service, great food. The art gallery upstairs is an unexpected bonus.
We enjoyed every course, such a cute place. Love the ambience and decor, definitely a date night local gem as well. Lovely flavours, good portion sizes and nice variety. The service was great and staff were friendly. Will definitely return! The philosophy and overall concept that profits go towards not for profits makes me admire this place even more!
Stumbled across looking for a BYO restaurant (which they do Tuesdays for the locals). What a great little find, an amazing philosophy behind the food, wonderful food and friendly service to match.
