Disappointing. Was told by the waitress that we could only have lasagna from the menu due to time limit (we were attending a concert & had a whole hour) & kitchen under pressure. $30 for a lukewarm serve! Then asked if we would like dessert!? Will not be returning.

Brilliant food, lovely staff who are happy to chat even when busy and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Get in before the doors close on the 13th of December 2025.

As a person who visits the U.S. frequently, I so appreciate the high quality of food that we have access to in Australia. When held to this, Australian, standard, Francescos Osteria fairs very well. I really appreciate that we were able to eat here before our show at the famous and now re-opened Thebarton Theatre. P.S. Sorry, the U.S. food situation and the mandatory tip really annoys me!

The staff were amazing and caring, we only had a short window for dinner and they did everything to help. The food is very high quality, fresh produce and plenty of vegetarian options. Thanks

Our meals were excellent, sooo tasty - both were vegetarian options, the risotto asparagi and the gnocchi al funghi. And the tiramisu was the best! Service was friendly and quick. 5 stars.

Francesco’s Osteria is a hidden gem, close to the city. Everything about this place is incredible. I had the seafood spaghetti, which is on par with any that I’ve had in Venice.. Bravo!!

Great experience awesome Vegan and gluten free options, everyone was covered. Great customer service and and overall and great time.

No dips with the bread, just oil with balsamic vinegar. Paid $6 for an extra 2 pieces of bread! The vegan risotto was half the serve it was the previous time we were there. We were sat right at the back, and it was very warm with not even any fans. We have been going there for quite some time and have kept coming back despite some changes that were made with the menu, but that’s the last time we will go there. Very disappointed.

The food is delicious. We had one vegetarian and one gluten-free diner in our party, and there were lots of options for all of us. The risotto with asparagus etc was perfect for me. Very friendly and prompt service and a relaxed feel made this the perfect dining experience for us.

It was the Best Italian cuisine we’ve had in Adelaide. The only thing which we would have preferred is sitting in the main dining area not at the entrance. There should be an option on booking.
