For a dining experience a la francaise in Brisbane, head on over to South Brisbane where you’ll find French Martini, a stylish bar and restaurant on Little Stanley Street. The decor combines Parisian chic details with trendy modern touches to set the perfect scene, whether its for a romantic date or a sophisticated meal out. Start off by sharing a charcuterie board (saucisson, prosciutto, cornichons and salad served with a freshly-baked baguette) before moving on to a French classic like the confit canard (slow-cooked duck leg in red wine with oven-baked apple and cranberries and gratin potatoes) or the fresh fish of the day pan-seared with a buttery cabbage and raisin compote, rice pilaf and savory vanilla sauce, followed by some creme brulee or a cheese board. Drawing in francophiles from all over Brisbane, French Martini can get busy. Book ahead to guarantee a table!
Gdeat swrvice and good food. Intimate setting and lrivate even though there was construction happening..it didnt deter from the armosphere at all. Will be going back there again!
Being French, taking friends and family to experience... a meal à la Française will directly take me to French Martini... the menu.. as well as the atmosphere is simply délicieusement Française. Best place to go next to my own kitchen.
Service was excellent and rapid. Great atmosphere. Food was Yummo just as we remember it growing up. Could use maybe a couple more dinner dishes to add more variety.
