The Groove Train - Doncaster

It was lovely, my friend and I had time to sit and chat for a couple of hours over the great food, the service was just great.

Food is always great, our waitress forgot to put our drinks through the system after we ordered them. So we were waiting awhile for our drinks. Second round of drinks she forgot again and put through the order and put through the wrong wine than what we ordered yet we were charged for it.

it was a very good service. will be go back to again. it will bring my friends and family going again. will enjoy more service

Great service and range on the menu. Quick service, polite and friendly staff with amazing food. Try the lamb pizza it's excellent! Didn't get put off by the slightly flickering light bulb and cracked leather seats :)

Service was fabulous - went out of their way to cater to my "fussy" 11 year old, and also checked about peanuts for my allergic 16 year old.

Very swift service and great food. No delay on table or service. We had a great night for our girl's night. Thanks to the staff.

My colleagues had lovely meals and I have had lovely meals in the past, but my risotto was simply awful and I couldn't eat it

Food is always good standard, service can range from adequate to good. More table service for drinks would be appreciated. Overall, we do come here frequently, it's convenient for movies & shopping

The service was fast and friendly. All meals were yummy and prompt. The restaurant has a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. A most enjoyable evening.

Great service, good food and overall a pleasant experience. Got voucher from Cudo which was also terrific value for Money. Wouldn't pay full price for it but I hardly ever do for any place

the seafood basket is very tasty with prawns and scallop and squid. The Moroccan lamb was tender and tasty. But the fisher and chips was tasteless. the environment is excellent.

Place was not too crowded on a Tuesday night. Staff were very attentive and prompt to help. Food was good, portions were nice and big, as expected!

The waiters were very attentive and the food service was prompt. Good selection of desserts to choose from as well. We were able to make our movie straight after without any problems.

Not a lot of flavor in the food. Service was very quick for a Saturday night. Pricing was very reasonable. Will go back again for a quick meal.

Excellent service. Meals were excellent. Friendly staff and we were placed at exactly the table I requested. Did not have to wait long for the meals to arrive and several times staff checked if we were ok for drinks. Highly reccomend.

We went for Friday night dinner and the service was quick and friendly. The meals were generous and arrived very promptly. Very noisy though due to location .

Good food, had the salt and pepper calamari which was amazing! Friendly helpful and very attentive staff although the restaurant wasn't very busy which may account for some of that. Not a place for 5 star dining but good prices.

The food and drinks were great, particularly the kids menu. Great size meals, quick and easy. The environment of the restaurant was good. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The desserts and Pizzas were really yummy!

the food was great and their specials are always different. Great and efficient service and a great view of the city for the 9:30 NYE fireworks.

Special request through Quandoo was ignored. Table service was poor. We had entree of dips delivered to our table to share....no plates, no serving ware, and because we were in the farthest corner we had trouble being noticed but eventually got plates shortly before we finished those. Plates, glasses, more glasses etc piled up so we stacked our plates to make more room on the table. When we asked the passing barista staff to take away our wine glasses (balancing on the outer edge of the table) she said nothing and stared at them for a moment before reluctantly snatching them and dumping them on a nearby counter. Food could have been better too. I'd certainly think twice before going again or recommending.

The service & atmosphere was fantastic, they even provided something not quite available on the menu. The Morrocan maybe a tad dry but great flavour.

There was a great variety of fod choices. The service was excellent. Meal size was very generous and of a reasonable quality. Meals a little expensive.

Overall dining experience was very good. Staff were friendly, courteous and prompt and the meals were also very good and the soft drinks were nice and cold. Will definitely return.

Terrible food service average need a new qualified chef in ver cooked dry salmon, dry smelly Nasi goreng got 1 refunded but wld not return or recommend

It was great meat and best table for two people. Grilled meat was really recommended. It was meat platter with salad. Service was ver kind. Enjoyed.

Food was excellent. However, one meal was forgotten and didn't arrive until the rest of us were over halfway through our meals which was a little disappointing.

The fettuccine carbonara serving was on the small side for the price and the pizza wasn't overly tasty. Some older menu items are no longer available which is a shame. Service however was very good.

Drinks took awhile to come. We had nearly finished our breakfast. Food came fast. Service was great with friendly faces. Delicious meals. Coffee not strong enough. They didn't have our booking.

Fabulous as always. Great Fathers' Day dinner. The staff were helpful and the food was delicious, always a great atmosphere at Groove Train, we will be back!

Great personable efficient service, excellent ambience and views, and really delicious food! We had the creamy yet crunchy eggplant Parma chips to start & calamari, perfectly light and oh so fresh. I also started with a very good espresso martini (amazingly only $10 as was cocktail of the week) so I ordered another! Followed by a crisp fresh vego Caesar with xtra anchovs- great Parmesan not overly dressed & topped with an egg & fresh croutons- ahhh so perfectly simple but so many restaurants get it so wrong. Thank you Groovetrain, I am truly impressed and will be back asap! Great choice of wines too def a spot for next date night pre movie bite 👍 Girls day/night, post shopping nosh or work get together!

whilst we got off on the wrong foot with them not having the booked recorded properly .. it was 19.00 not 9.00 they were quick to accomodate and set up the required tables. Food was exquisite with service outstanding. Thankyou for a very enjoyable evening.

Although it's casual dining you still expect the food to be edible, alas this was not. Rubbery chicken, boiled bacon and frozen vegetables. At $25 a meal I would rather eat at Macdonalds next time.

Service was good but food was rather tasteless. The nasi goreng was dry, the pizza was very bland and the chicken salad had some gristle in the chicken pieces. Overall we were disappointed with the meals.
