There’s no better way to start your day off at Groove Train over in Melbourne’s Wantirna South than with one of their breakfast offerings, from triple stacked pancakes to Spanish savoury eggs (scrambled eggs, chorizo, semi-dried tomatoes, onion and kalamata olives with sourdough bread) and coffee and cake. If it’s lunch or dinner that you’re after, you won’t be disappointed either. We recommend starting with the salt & pepper calamari or the rustic eggplant chips, then moving on to some penne amatriciana (pan-fried bacon, garlic, roasted capsicum, olives, chilli, napoli sauce and shaved parmesan) or the chicken parmigiana (a crumbed chicken breast topped with napoli sauce, mozzarella and parmesan). Leave room for dessert though, because there is an array of delicious sweet options on the menu. Get aboard the Groove Train in Knox by booking a table at this Wantirna South hotspot on Burwood Highway!
Absolutely great service, staff are helpful and friendly. Food is quick, delicious and tasty. Plenty to choose from on the menu at a good price point.
Friendly staff, and there were lots of them. Service was quick and the food was ample - big serves so good value for money and it yummo.
Friendly and helpful wait staff. Food arrived at the same time. Food was very tasty and well presented. Our group was very satisfied and we will come back.
Highly recommend the warm beef salad or chicken and cous cous salad. Both delicious, fresh and tasty. Very attentive service and great warm atmosphere. Ideal for families or friends.
First impressions were great, greeted and taken to booth quickly and happily, very comfortable seating and temperature, clean, drinks bought quickly as was food. Five people all ordered different meals on a Sunday at 2 pm...every bite was delicious and every person very happy with their meal. We hadnt been before but will be regulars now. The ease of the booking process ensures a speedy return for all 5 of us Everything at the Groove Train earns a 10 out of 10.
Overall very good. There were 3 problems. 1: they forgot one of our meals but did come to the table and apologise, acknowledging it was their fault. 2: My steak was ordered as medium but was definitely rare which is not a real problem as I can eat a rare steak. The worst part was the steak was very tough, some bits were so tough I could not chew it. 3: We decided to have desert and were given the desert menu but then no one came back to take our order. Despite all the above it was
Had lunch on a Saturday for a party of 6. Service was quite good though we were not offered the specials menu (we only saw these as we were leaving). Food and drinks service was reasonably quick, though there was mixed reactions to the actual food (my wife did not like the Spaghetti Pescatore, and indicated she would have chosen special menu dish if we had seen them earlier, fish in the Fisherman's Basket was over cooked, but rest of sea food was spot on, beef pattie in burger was not cooked to the eater's requirement). Will probably give the restaurant another try.
Super friendly staff, checked how our meal was (wonderful!), great atmosphere. My only criticism would be that the meal sizes are massive and personally I'd rather have an option to pay half and get half the amount of food, rather than feeling obliged to eat twice as much as I need to rather than waste any of the meal.
The service was really good - friendly staff and were attentive. I ordered the Chicken Satay which included rice and greens on the side as a description. When it arrived it was lukewarm. The flavour was OK but not a lot of spice. The most appalling part of the meal was the drumhead cabbage that served as the greens. Never in the countless meals I have eaten in restaurants have I been served cabbage (both white and purple) as a side and definitely NOT in an asian meal. If they had run out, I would have preferred to choose another meal. If this is how they normally serve it, I definitely won't be returning.
The service was good, we ordered 3 steaks, 2 medium well and 1 medium. The medium well came out like a well done. We reported it and the waiter nicely changed it for us. We were happy about the service. However, we had three waiter keep harassing us and wanting to take our plates away even there were foods on it which was not too good feeling.
