good pub meal. only issue ie fish cooked in same frier as other food like snities.

The restaurant was very busy and they stated that the waiting time would be 1 hour. We were ok with that as we understood and it had been made clear to us that it was going to be a wait, however the person on our table that ordered last got her meal and had to eat it or it would of gone cold before the rest of the meals were served. We noticed that her meal arrived at 8pm and our booking was for 6:30pm. The meal was great, but the wait and the fact that we ordered together but our meals came out so differently wasn't the best experience. Other than that, it was a great night and we thoroughly enjoyed what we ate.

Look i get it it was busy, but we had to wait nearly 2 hours for the meal. more kitchen staff would've help as i believe there was only 3 in the kitchen. and it wasn't just us who had to wait 2 hours for the meal either.

Relaxing, great staff, beautiful view!! Our first time, will be back!! Wished we lived closer (from Medowie!) Thanks guys was a great lunch all round!!

We ordered 4 small plates to share. The scallops were cooked perfectly, as were all the dishes. It was lovely sitting there having a drink watching the sun go down.

We waited over 45mins for our meals (4) and it wasn't that busy. No line ups to order. Our meals came out 10 mins after we checked, so we thank they were forgotten.

I love going to the Gunyah and I love the food. I just thought the girl that welcome us when we were waiting for our Table could’ve been a bit more friendlier maybe a smile on her face. And greeting.

Food was great and service was quick but the specials board needs to be updated when a choice is not available. It was lovely sitting on the verandah.

There was over an hours wait for a meal, really poor organisation. If you are going to have so called specials then cater for it. Really not happy and will spending my money elsewhere.

WE had an early booking so our wait time was ok, people who booked later had a long wait time. Restaurant was quite full, it was very noisy.

First time at the Gunyah. The steak was cooked to perfection. Love how fresh the veggies were and the smash chats were scrumptious. Entertained with trivia too. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we all agreed we’re coming back!

The 6 of us who dined were very happy with our half price meals. Just a tad disappointed that there was not many dessert options. Overall very enjoyable, service was very good.

Scallops.. Only get 3, for $24 And they were cold Spicey noodle salad with chicken.. Not Spicey, only 4 bits of chicken. Beef cheek pie.. Smallest pie ever

Very good food and service and easy to book venue

Dining at the Gunyah was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Everyone at our table of 14 ppl were all happy. Would definitely recommend. We'll be back!

Had chicken Florentine lasagne, was very bland, husband had creamy garlic prawns and said you could hardly taste the garlic.

We had a lovely dinner and drinks at the Gunyah last night. The service was fast and friendly and the views over Lake Macquarie are wonderful.
