Gurkhas Restaurant in Brunswick has wonderfully friendly staff and efficient service, excellent food with a wide variety of dishes available. Very nice setting and atmosphere. Inexpensive, easy, authentic cuisine and highly recommended.

Staff were friendly but waitress didn’t ask how spicy we wanted our meals so there was no spice and we found the food bland. Thanks

The food is still fantastic. I've been coming here for many years for birthday dinners, catching up with friends and the like. The service this visit was a bit patchy, but not terrible, some things were just a bit slow.

Always willing to attempt something different, I was pleasantly surprised with the Nepalese experience. Our group opted for the $40 ph banquet rather than pick through the extensive menu. Courses arrived well spaced & provided much discussion during consumption with everyone in agreement about presentation, amount & quality. We left well satisfied but could only wonder why this unassuming beauty was so quiet. Try & be impressed!

The service was no where near as good as previous times. The yelling ,screaming and plate breaking coming from the kitchen was shocking! Not good.

Great food and friendly service. The Goat Curry Vindalo was sensational as were the scallops. The Chicken entree and BBQ mushrooms were also excellent. Highly recommended

Friendly service, we all ate the vegetarian banquet option. Their was a great variety of dishes and it was all delicious and plenty of it. Yum.

Poor service. Very inattentive. Took an hour for our mains to come out and the restaurant was barely half full. This was on the 'all you can taste' night, where the menu was limited... almost looked intentional.

Good service. Above average portion sizes for bread and rice. Needs more flavour in the food for my taste. Was expecting more spice. Well priced.

Really fresh food, nice service and very cheep. If you're after a milder curry that's not a formal affair then I would def recommend this place.

The food was really good and the service was pretty fast as well. The ambience was good although alittle cramped but can manage around 30 ppl at a time.

Food was great. Service was nice! They seemed a bit understaffed but handled it anyway. They also had a song to play nice and loudly for our birthday girl.

Restaurant is very good with clean, peaceful environment and friendly service. Sample night was really good offer as it contained lots of items for only 22 $. Highly recommended restaurant for Nepalese cuisine :D :D

Friendly, efficient staff, magnificent food and very reasonable prices. We had a great evening in Brunswick and would recommend Gurkhas to anyone looking for a great dining experience at a more than reasonable price.

Arrived an hour late which was not a problem for them and the food was fantastic. Amazing. I will be there again on my next visit to Melbourne.
