Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. Happy Inn in Penrith is a longstanding Chinese restaurant that’s been pleasing locals for some time with its high standard of authentic and flavoursome food. Established in 1984, this Sydney restaurant draws inspiration from many regions of China and you’ll see menu items with Cantonese, Sichuan and Pekinese influence. Meat and vegetarian dishes are aplenty, but Happy Inn’s menu particularly shines with its seafood dishes, a house speciality. The menu offers a range of dishes featuring fresh scallops, calamari, prawns and fish. With its spacious dining room on High Street, Happy Inn has a casual atmosphere that’s ideal for a meal out with friends, family or colleagues. Popular with the Penrith crowd, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

It is simply the best Chinese restaurant anywhere in Sydney.
The diners had all but finished their meals and one persons meal remained outstanding and arrived eztremely late and not especially nice. Mongolian lamb with a strange aftertaste. The Laksa was nothing more than fantastic noodles with a waving of broth, lots a tofu and a few prawns. Laksa is supposed to be a soup/broth this was a bowl of noodles with a small amount of what it should have been. One of the diners also had her drink spilled on her and the waiter spat on her whilst speaking. Overall and unpleasant experience.
