Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
One of the westernmost Sydney outposts of the famous Himalaya family of Indian and Pakistani restaurants, Himalaya Liverpool offers the same left-of-field dining experience that you’ve come to expect from the brand. Here, down George Street, freshly prepared Indian and Pakistani cuisine, with their namesake mountain range as backdrop and inspiration, forms the backbone of a group of restaurants that has become known for their great dining-in and takeaway menus, and superlative skills when it comes to catering for your private dining or external catering event.
Himalaya Liverpool distinguishes itself from the many Himalaya Indian and Pakistani restaurants that are scattered across Sydney with an extra large function room capable of accommodating up to 150 guests. The Himalaya family are known for their ability to put on some of the most lavish feasts and banquets, and Himalaya’s George Street restaurant is an excellent choice for birthday celebrations, weddings, and corporate functions. Special offers unique to Himalaya Liverpool are also in evidence, so check with the friendly staff when you book.
We were bowled over when we twigged to the availability of a rather mountainous Himalaya special deal known as the Bucket Of Biryani. It’s like the name says, a big bucket of the south Asian rice specialty served with raita and salad. Such is the scale and scope of Sydney’s Himalaya franchise. Himalaya Liverpool’s George Street kitchen can kick you such a bucket if you wish, but you should also remember that this Indian and Pakistani restaurant does a mean lunchtime special crammed with affordable and unusual dishes: channa bhatura, stuffed Gobi and aloo paratha, and the signature Himalaya samosa chaat. Kiddie culinary mountaineers are catered for here, too, but the curry connoisseurs will want to turn to Himalaya Liverpool’s list of chef’s specials for the real high-altitude stuff.
