Beautiful views in the bar upstairs for a pre lunch drink - a great location to take out of town visitors. Lunch downstairs was delicious with some excellent choices rather than the usual predictable pub fare.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. Restaurant wasn't open as it was Australia Day, so there was only a BBQ outside. Great atmosphere! Although very busy, people were constantly coming and going, so able to get a table quickly.
Not very satisfied with food. Chilli prawn nachos sounds interesting but taste wasn't there, a lot of things missing from the dish---seasoning, right ingredients, presentation, shouldn't be there on the board as the special of the day. Overpriced too. We were on the ground floor on the day that weather was very hot in Sydney but none of the staff seemed to do anything with that.
Great food, great range of drinks. We were there as a small group and we all really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back again soon.
Lovely table near the door with a fab view, great food and good drinks. Nice service as well from friendly staff. Note, the Public House is on the ground floor, so it has a bit of a view from some tables not all.
I must say that I've been here twice and it's been fantastic on both occasions. The food really is top notch and I would highly recommend
On a surprisingly quiet Sunday night, the Palisade served up the highest quality pub food made even better with a good wine selection and the excellent Balter XPA on tap. Top marks.
Great place with a nice atmosphere and a wonderful view. Food delicious but a bit expensive. Staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Not a fan of the automatic 10% “service fee”, I like to decide if a tip is worthwhile not the restaurant.
Food was good well priced. Had a blackout while we were there, very well handled by the staff. will do a return visit in the very near future
Drinks upstairs with great view of the harbour bridge, then a good(cheaper) meal in the pub restaurant downstairs, then back upstairs for another drink. A good spot with good service, great views.
Disappoint ing experience. View is good. Food was nice. Seating arrangement uncomfortable. Staff had bsd attitude. One was wearing her underwear as a top. Very inappropriate. Wont be going back in a hurry. Alot of hype for this place yet poor on the delivery.
Food was good although the table we were at was unstable. The first barman I dealt with was unsmiling and appeared grumpy. Not what you're looking for on a night out with friends.
Enjoyed catching up with friends. Booked a table for 8 including a 12 yr old as could not book in the upstairs restaurant with an unde 18. Good food and service. My pate was taken and I had not finished but they replaced it w a fresh dish. Unfortunately too loud and noisy
Very friendly and attentive staff, great location, beautiful good and electric atmosphere. Ideal location for either an intimate drink or group social occasion. Highly recommend.
Food was very good and well-priced. the only let-down was the fact that neither of the fans in the parlour were working, and it was a very humid afternoon.
Menu was meh. Service was slow and getting there was difficult. Probs won’t go there again. I waited to be served and then 2 women approached the bar, demanded to be served and the bar guy served them first. That’s terrible service in my eyes. I even told the guy I’d been waiting longer and he still served the women first.
The bar area is very loud, which meant it was hard to hear everyone speak, the food was enjoyable and came out quickly once ordered.
Staff, food, atmosphere and location all fantastic. Will most certainly be returning again soon. Would recommend to anyone both local and visitors to visit Hotel Palisade.
Great place. Food was excellent. Needed more staff working behind the bar downstairs as you were always required to queue and wait some time to order food and drinks.
Very fast and efficient service. The food was fantastic and looked amazing. The bar staff were very pleasant. I wish I had booked upstairs as the view was incredible. We will be back
Great location. However very busy night. One meal missed completely. We had all finished our meals waiting for last one. No apology, just would you like a drink with that?? when meal finally arrived. Wouldn't recommend.
We only ordered burgers. The meal was delicious. We have been here before & quite like the hotel. However, my wife & I would have preferred French fries instead of potato crisps.
The service was average, but it was a busy Friday lunch. The food was great, but my entire group thought it was a bit odd that for a pub, there were no sides available on the menu.
Best baby octopus I've ever had, paired with the reisling was sensational. Tapas style with a great menu. Amazing views and friendly staff. All of this made up for the pricey lunch menu. Great venue for a special event lunch.
Great views and food - surprised that there were not more people eating!!!! Staff very friendly and willing to assist and the location is slightly removed from the tourist throng.
Recently enjoyed a Friday lunch at the Palisade. Friendly staff, really delicious food and a terrific renovation of a genuinely historic pub in The Rocks. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent and a great price point. Enjoyed the experience. Casual atmosphere and away from the city. The roof top looks like a great place for sundowners.
Place is great, food was amazing. DUe to Mother's day, staff were a bit overwhelmed with the large number of patrons, although they still managed to provide a great service, Thanks... we'll be returning
Beautiful place had a great time could not fault it by any means. I would gladly go back food was great drinks where amazing. :)
Table was reserved and we seated ourselves. Food was delicious and generous and arrived in a reasonable time. The Nutella donut was the only negative as the chocolate was burnt.
Palisade has the best views in Sydney. Hard to get a table there. Food in Public House imaginative and very good. Excellent staff. Saturday night very busy and noisy. We thoroughly enjoyed.
Had a great lunch in the pub followed by drinks in Henry Deane - a great Sunday afternoon. Food was your typical pub fare but presented nicely.
Absolutely loved this local bar/pub! Incredible service and view! Food was delicious, staff were friendly and attentive and the view was spectacular - reccomend in confidence.
Relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable upper room. Great for an afternoon out. Share plate menu was very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and easy going. Worth a visit.
Despite incorrect booking, we were all still fitted in to a great spot upstairs which was very good of the staff. delicious food and stunning views. Fantastic night, will definitely be back soon.
There was a nice atmosphere in the bar downstairs. Great views and comfy seating upstairs. Food was pretty average. Staff were very nice and friendly.
Friendly bar staff - served with a smile. And they knew who was next to be served. A rarity in Sydney these days! Recommend the trio of house dips.
Lovely location and super food. It does get very busy, especially upstairs. Drinks are a bit pricey but it's a great place to take visitors because of the view
We booked a table in the publuc space Poor quality food...dirty tables...rude bargirl....good view....would go upstairs next time where it is cleaner and views to die for!!
Great atmosphere in the pub level. A good selection of food and drinks. The cheese and meat board was excellent and good value for money.
