House Bar & Bistro Potts Point is housed in a stunning Victorian building right on the corner of Kellett Street and Ward Avenue. This Sydney eatery has a seasonal Australian menu which changes constantly based on the availability of locally-sourced ingredients, as well as sourdough fermentations and other foodstuffs made in-house. The food on offer at House Bar & Bistro has a distinctly Italian flair, with dishes such as braised pork belly tagliatelle with duck egg and fresh parmesan; pizza with Tuscan cabbage and pumpkin or seafood zuppetta with cod, bottle squid and octopus gracing the menu. Superb Italian-inspired recipes run by a very talented and super-friendly French couple. Amelie and Mauro go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and nourished. The standout is the pesto-injected burrata to start: a sensuous ball of silky burrata quite literally injected with homemade pesto by Mauro himself. A delight from start to finish!
This was the first time we had been to this restaurant and we were delighted with the very good food and service and the lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to others.
I had a very good time there with my friends yesterday : Amazing venue, good food and nice staff! I will go back for sure
