HUX Grill Penrith

The food is always great at hux grill. However, whilst the wait staff is friendly, you are waiting for them to come back and check on you all the time. We ordered water for the table, and while it was on the receipt, we never received it. To prebook the shared steaks the website says to ring. I could not get through at all from 1230-1730 and emailed instead. The reply I got back was not even meant to be addressed to me, and whoever it was who replied back wasn't very professional either. In the end, my group had a great time but the service is lacking.

I absolutely love the food at hux however, this visit was an unfortunate one. The service was terrible, the food was cold and the ribs my husband had weren't as wonderful as he had had before.

Food was excellent, as always, but disappointed that we had to wait for more than 10 minutes before a waitperson came to ask if we would like drinks. It was very busy when we arrived.

The quality of the meat cut was good. However it would have been a lot more enjoyable if they cooked it better. Everything was really salty. From the meat to the vegetables. Also felt it was really over priced for what you were getting... maybe if they used less salt they could cut costs there... Also had the oysters Kirkpatrick as a starter. Half were cooked warm and delicious and the other half was still borderline frozen. Was also not really impressed by the wait time. Tables that had arrived after us were getting their food before us. We waited about an hour for our mains. Food presentation was also hit and miss. The oysters were presented beautifully, but then my partners burger looked like it was prepared by a underpaid teenage mcdonalds worker. Kinda disappointed with this one. Not really worth the hype.

We love Hux Grill, we always get awesome food and awesome service! The only place we go to in Penrith now. I recommend it to everyone!

This was our 2nd time back at Hux Grill and our experience once again was fantastic. Even better that the kids ate free this time.

great food ,best steak I have ever eaten cooked perfectly. the service was quick and the wait staff were very polite. My wife and I had a wonderful night. I will be going back again.

the venue itself is very nice. The staff is very friendly. The majority of the food was good and well presented. Well worth a visit.

Good service on a busy Friday night. One rack of the beef ribs was perfect, the other was quite dry. Burgers are great here.

The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was a little bit slow, despite there only being 6 other occupied tables. But other than that, it was an enjoyable night out.

Second time eating at Hux Grill, had chicken wings as a starter and ribs for mains, both were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Will definitely go back.

Food got sent back due to being undercooked - rest of family finished eating before my meal got returned, once it did return it was worth the wait but still disappointing.

Im going to be honest. Was expecting more from this restaurant. Service was good, drinks were on point. Only problems. 1. took too long for the order to come in and my family was becoming restless 2. Food was dry (we had the haux burgers, cheeseburgers). Matter of fact pattie was overcooked and burnt. Mcdonalds would have done a better job with the price being 10x cheaper. 3. Food was overpriced for the portion we were given. Menu and photos can be misleading. Overall, i was left embarrassed to my family as i highly recommended this place but failed to deliver good food and service. We were left hungry, disappointed and to top it all off an expensive bill. Will not come again. I usually don't write reviews but this one had to be said with my honest experience and opinion.

Really enjoy going to Hux grill. I have had the best steaks I have eaten at Hux as well as some amazing burgers and great sides. Quickly becoming regulars at this place. Great customer service and food. An all round great place to dine

My favourite steak house! Steaks are beautiful and tender, cooked to your liking. Have had better Oyster Kilpatrick's though! Service good, great place to eat!

Mixed review, just little room for improvement, overall meals were nice not sure about being served on breadboards? Waitress accidentally lost the food off breadboard when trying to place on table(they are way too heavy) so they had too redo meal. Soft drinks were flat.

Food was absolutely amazing! Recommend the mushroom sauce to go with any steak best I've had yet! Service was really quick and staff we're super friendly and made for an enjoyable night!

My experience was not great ... Took 10mins to get a drink order, entree was disgusting had to send it back ... Steak was not made to order had to send that back too ... The place was freezing, too bright & no atmosphere ... Very disappointed

Excellent food, very delicious - we had the 800g Wagyu Rump Meal and the children had Chicken schnitzel and rump. The dessert were yummie too - Crème Brulee and panacotta of the day - which turned out to be a Blackforest chocolate mousse. All in all - excellent! Friendly and professional staff, which never has disappointed us - we came here the 5th time! Thank you.

Amazingly cooked steak, so tender. Such a huge range of sides to choose from and friendly staff and lastly a big thumbs up to the chocolate panacotta!

The food was no different then Silver Spur or any other fast food outlet very disappointing greasy not a great experience :-( The service was the hi lite of the evening well done staff you were great :-)

The steak was beautiful and tender .. The best steak I have ever had .. the service delightful and very helpful and I was unable to drink all my wine Ann's was advised to take it home with me

Scrumptious food and quick service. However the wait staff didn't seem to be very proactive about kids, I needed to ask twice for high chairs for my kids. Would've been nice if that was already arranged considering we made a reservation well in advance. Good eating experience other than that!

Ordered medium rare steak. Got a raw steak. Wrong cut of beef and waitress arguing when questioned. Rock hard cold chips. Waitress with major attitude when asked to recook the fish correctly. Won't be going back again because of the attitude.

Great meal fast friendly service meals were yummo the pork belly melts in your mouth and the kids absolutely loved their burgers. Can't wait to go back

The interior decor is very appealing making for a comfortable dinning experience. However, food wise I found it to be average. Maybe the kitchen just had a bad day?

steaks were cooked perfect food came out fast and lovely wait staff . just thought it would be a little different was very noisy lots of families which was ok as we have children our selves but wouldn't recommend for a romantic dinner for two was hard to hear each other . it was for our wedding anniversary though with the pricing would be a bit more classy too . but we did enojoy the food and service though .

We dined at Hux Grill Penrith on Sunday, its was very busy, we had to wait few minutes while the table was re set etc and everyone at our table agreed they would return , the food was excellent and no one could finish everything on the plate( servings are generous ) and the table staff friendly and polite. We plan on dining at Hux's again. Just need to get more friends so we can try the suckling pig etc Phil

I was really impressed with the service at Hux Grill Penrith. All of the staff were friendly and they went above and beyond - even adding Happy Birthday and a Candle to my Husband's dessert and starting to sing Happy Birthday to him! The food was great, the steak was cooked perfectly and my son loved eating his own steak and chips meal (and ate half of my corn too). Highly recommend

We absolutely love HUX Grill the food is always delicious and of a decent size for the price. Normally there is a lack of staff attention, they never come back once you get your food and you have to go to the bar to get your bill. This time though, the staff were great. However the steak was a bit of a let down. It was quite fatty. My mum couldn't eat hers because t was so fatty. The staff were good enough to cook her a new one but it meant that everyone else had finish their dinner before she could start hers. We will definitely be back though because the steaks are normally really good. Hopefully it was just a once off.

Very good service, good quality food and pleasant staff. Reasonable prices and good value for money when the Cudo vouchers are available. Would definitely recommend this restaurant

The Wagyu steak and the onion rings were excellent. Service was average. There was only one attendant doing service. Telephone message as well as email message requesting a reservation left unanswered.

Just one little thing - asked for a bottle of wine and a beer. Was given a beer and a glass of wine. When we told waitress that we ordered a bottle she said sorry - came back with a bottle and the glass of wine. Was told we would not be charged for the glass because of the mistake however we were charged for the glass of wine.

Service was fantastic! and we were even allowed to take home leftovers in a doggy bag the food was that good. Will always chose hud grill whenever I need somewhere to meet someone for lunch or dinner

We had a small Christmas lunch for work and the atmosphere was great Food was delicious and service and the staff were friendly and efficient

the food and service at Hux is amazing ever time we go there. There is a good menu which covers the tastes of all people however I will always recommend the steak.

this venue has had several restaurants close over time , but Hux certainly hit the mark, great food, meat lovers delight, cooked to perfection. service is very friendly and prompt.

Everything is a 10/10! Service, price and food. It's nice to walk into a restaurant and feel welcome at any time of the day. The food is amazing. Can't fault it at all! One of my favourite restaurants.

Super fast service, friendly staff, massive size servings, nice atmosphere, would definitely go again, good for parties and functions, and reasonably priced kids menu available.

The food is second to none. Service is great. Can't fault our experience. The cost isn't expensive compared to other "steak house" places. Will Definately be back
