The best Indian Food in Melbourne. I have been going to Ameer then Indian Star, following Sunil (owner & chef) for nearly Forty Years. I have never been disappointed. Always great, quality food at a good price. Beautiful decor and settings also. I would highly recommend Indian Star to all.

Best Indian restaurant I’ve been to in Melbourne. And no, I’m not related to anyone there. The service, the food and atmosphere were top shelf and just praising excellent service when I see it.

The food was authentic and amazing. We really enjoyed the Tandoori Chicken and Paneer tikka. In the mains we enjoyed the Malai Kofta and Lamb Rogan josh with Peas Pulao, Keema Naan and Garlic Naan.

Delicious dishes include butter chicken and chicken biryani. Even if there aren’t many patrons during the week day, the crew does a fantastic job of serving them. Will return.

Indian Star Indian Restaurant is always above exceptional. The food, the staff, the ambiance is always fantastic, I truly believe the restaurant is the best Indian restaurant in all of Melbourne.

Seemed a bit short staffed and busier than normal so we had to wait a bit for service. We asked for our appetiser to come out first, ie. separate, but no sooner had we received our appetiser did our mains come out so we felt rushed to finish our first course as our mains were sitting there. We can't eat that fast. Normally I'd give 5 stars but not last night.

This place is just amazing. Everything that comes out of their kitchen is a favourite. I'm going there again for my birthday to be treated like a Maharaja!
