Itali.Co is contemporary Italian cuisine done absolutely right. Plenty of love. Plenty of passion. Plenty of fine ingredients. It’s hard to overstate what a difference all of these things make when it comes to the food that leaves the kitchen. Itali.Co takes its residence in Melbourne’s St Kilda and has amassed quite the following of pizza and pasta lovers thus far during its time in what is one of the most buzzing culinary cities in the world. To be found on Barkly Street, Itali.Co doesn’t just specialise in great food – its hospitality is pretty hard to match as well. For a true Italian experience, make the trip to St Kilda.
For an Italian restaurant to stand out in Melbourne it has to do something special, so vast is the plain of restaurants to choose from. Itali.Co, we are delighted to report, is doing something special. On Barkly Street in St Kilda, this Italian restaurant carries sophistication and a contemporary approach that is quickly transforming it into the first choice for foodies far and wide. From distinctive and award-winning Naples-style pizzas to refined mains and plates of pasta, considering any other Italian restaurant in St Kilda besides Itali.Co does, to be honest, seem folly.
Begin your meal with a selection of antipasti in the way of chargrilled octopus or arancini, then weigh up your options when it comes to some of the finest pizza in Melbourne. Toppings are classics of Italy and we’d have to recommend the tartufata, complete with white truffle cream, fior di latte, mushrooms, rocket and parmesan. That said, the bresaola is also good with squacquerone cheese, air-dried beef and a citronette dressing. In terms of pasta, the homemade ravioli filled with beetroot, burnt butter, parmesan and poppy seeds is as intriguing as the braised beef cheeks with mashed potatoes, broccolini and bitter chocolate sauce that’s over on the mains menu. What are you waiting for? Give St Kilda’s Itali.Co a try!
Amazing environment, very friendly staff that don’t hover. Food was exceptional. We would have had a coffee to finish off but as there was not almond milk available, we went did go for coffee elsewhere.

Great restaurant the food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful, Great for families. We will be returning when back in the area. Will be recommending to family and friends
This was the 3rd time I'd been to Itali.Co - first time for a Saturday night and was not as good as previous two times on a Friday night. However the food was nice and staff were very polite. Not very busy but the music was too loud and so conversation wasn't as enjoyable as it should be. Would come back on a Friday but not Saturday
We returned to Itali.Co for a pre-show dinner, & despite them being booked out the staff were very attentive & made sure that we got to our show on time. Plus the food was great. :-)
The location for pre-National Theatre dining is absolutely perfect. The decor and menu were fine. The service was slightly vague. The food was just ok. My lasagne was fine. I ordered an insalata mista that was mostly just lettuce and not very interesting. My daughter ordered gluten free pasta and the serve was tiny - twice the size would have been more like it. They were very busy but we got our food quickly and had plenty of time to get to the show. An easy place for pre-theatre dining so I would go again. But it was unremarkable.
Food was Gorgeous! at Itali.Co. The staff was very nice and helpful. The enviroment of this place was agreable and friendly. Also prices are reasonable, really no expensive.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was first class. The ambience was comfortable. Overall a most enjoyable experience. I can recommend Itali.Co very highly for dinner.
This was our first time at Itali.co,; we chose it ahead of other local restaurants due to good reviews and proximity to National Theatre where we were attending a show. Great food and ambience; excellent friendly and timely service, would definitely come again
