Javitri in Goodwood is a modern Indian kitchen serving dishes that go way beyond the norm in terms of what you probably expect from this world-famous cuisine. Indeed, the food at Javitri is progressive. It’s prepared using cooking techniques like sous vide, confit, dehydration – none of which are common in Indian cooking – and the presentation of every dish is nothing short of artistic. Of course, you’ll find classic Indian mains like butter chicken on the menu, but other, Javitri signature dishes include the clove smoked tandoori lamb chops and edamame, ginger and apricot fritters. You’ll find Javitri Goodwood on King William Road and it’s worth the trip from wherever you’re based in Adelaide. Reservations are essential.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We came based on recommendations from friends. The road at the front of the restaurant was being replaced as part of a council project and the street was blocked off. This meant the street was very quiet with most of the shops and eateries closed. Quite sad to see, albeit temporary. So Javitri was quiet But we had fantastic service and the food was modern Indian and presentation and contents of each dish quite unexpected and very elegant and delicious. Amazing! And my husband who was the only one to have coffee said it was an exceptionally good coffee And the decor is also attractive, with subdued elegance. All in all, a very nice dining experience. We will return!
Comfortable table for four to accomodate dishes.(suggest request double table more than two). Good service. Variety of choices. Tasty food.Great presentation.
