The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were great but it was on the expensive side compared to other similar restaurants I’ve been to.

We live in Thirroul and had driven by a number of occasions and thought we must have their experience. We were not disappointed. The place was "throbbing" with all age groups and a perfect night. The staff are all amazing - run off their feet for all patrons satisfaction. Mark our son's friend had mentioned he knew the owner Jamo - he even took time to welcome us and invited us back for a "chat and a social drink" - when he would get time for that I wonder. The menu selection is great and fresh and delivered to your table in pronto time.

Really happy, professional service, delicious food. Perhaps if music was lower, it would be easier to chat as a bigger group. Overall fab! Thanks Jose Jones

I’ve cooked for over 40 years so when I commented the meatballs were raw in the middle and the chef refused saying they were cooked for three hours I was done. It wouldn’t take much to sort that. It really was inedible. Went home hungry. Shame because the music was great.

The food was Beautiful and the service and atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant - cant wait to try the breakfast menu

Went there for lunch a couple of months ago Buddha bowl was beautiful always said to go bavk and have dinner. Ordered octopus ... slimy and chorizo burnt .,, chicken wings were dry with what seemed like a bottle of some marinade poured all over it and the Buddha bowl was not the same and was extremely bland. Hommus wasn’t even worth putting I. As it was a teaspoon full. Not sure if I want to go back

I enjoyed the friendly, attentive service, the yummy, fresh food and an excellent beverage selection. The atmosphere is relaxed - Jose Jones is well worth a visit.

We ordered the Buddha bowl and the ocean bowl. Easy walk from Austinmer. Good food and it was well priced. We really liked the ambiance.

Excellent food. Outstanding service and atmosphere. Very busy and had to wait a little for drinks....which was probably a good thing ha ha. Will be back and tell all our friends to come along.

What a gret restaurant, great vibes, delicious food and good service! Highly recommend this place whether going to eat or just nibble with some nice tapas and fantastic selection of beverages.

It was raining so unfortunately we had to be seated inside. The tables inside had been lacquered - and the lacquer was sticky so that the whole table felt uncomfortable almost as if it was dirty. One of my friends put his paper serviettes down on the sticky table to cover it. The paper serviettes stuck fast. This is not good enough for an upmarket restaurant.

We had a really nice breakfast at Jose Jones! The staff were very friendly & the service was amazing! We will definitely be coming back for breakfast!

Great atmosphere and service, Food is great aswell. Booking through the Quandoo app and reading reviews from other app users made it an easy choice for dinner destination while in town.

Really loved our time there! It was a little hard with a curious toddler being so close to the road. Other then that we can’t fault it.

Food was lovely but spoiled a bit by the noise level as it was really busy. Prefer to sit outside but raining. Staff very good.

Food and service were great. The music was a little loud for a while before they turned it down but perhaps the speaker was right above our table.

Service was great, the food was great, we had a really nice evening. My only issue was we were seated in a high traffic area near the bar, which was also right under a speaker so having a conversation meant we had to shout. But overall it was great

Food fresh and superbly cooked and presented. Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Menu standard offers a good range but board specials on the night were a bit repetitious on chicken

Great atmosphere for a causal dining with live music and cocktails. Recommend people around Thirroul area or visitor in Thirroul for weekend getaway. Great place to hang out.

Great night. Great food. Great service. Always consistent with their food. Thought the size of my glass of wine was a little small and they have just changed their beer provider.

Such a nice place to have dinner in summer. Victoria is lovely and the wait was not long at all considering how busy they were!

Was sat outside on a blustery and cold evening but the wonderful staff brought us blankets and surrounded us with gas heaters. Perfect! Bring on the cocktails!

My friend and I made reservations for a mid-week dinner here, enjoying excellent food, cocktails and the service was outstanding. A happy, helpful team provided delicious dishes and wonderful cocktails. We will definitely return. Make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment!

What a fantastic menu choice, catered for vegans 👏🏼👍🏼. The staff are just wonderful and the PIMS cocktail out of sight. Good shade and great seating. Highly recommend 👌🥂🍾

The food is fine but sometimes the service can be a little slow - there are many patrons and it is a complicated seating arrangement. The music can be very loud and make dinner conversation rather difficult.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic, even when the heavens opened. Service was brilliant and took the time to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend.

Great friendly staff and good food but to be honest rather expensive. I just cannot understand the prices that people charge for a cocktail, $18 is just too much for cocktails at a laid back 'surfy vibe' venue.

Delicious variety and nice wines as well as pale ales.

Jose Jones is our 'go to' local restaurant whenever we have someone visiting from overseas, interstate or just looking for a great meal. Staff are incredible and atmosphere is wonderful!
