Lethal cocktails that are too easy to drink, consistently good food, and friendly service to match. Kagura is my go to, have tried almost every dish on the menu, and every time I leave I'm thinking about my next visit.
Nice, cosy & casual, this new restaurant is unassuming and unpretentious. It serves quality Japanese tapas-style meals at a reasonable price. Great for a night out with an intimate group. Highly recommend the tulip karage chicken and the sashimi platter.
Fun night - interesting food a lot of which was great. Fantastic saki. Not sure about a couple of dishes but great to try new things.
Great service. Interesting Japanese style tapas. A little warm the evening we were there. Nice selection of beers & cocktails. Nice guys served us & guided us through the menu.
A lovely atmospheric spot in Surry hills, great owner / barman. Only downside was the small portions - we came away a tad hungry! Would go back for cocktails and nibbles though.
Amazing service and drinks, especially the cocktails. Good selection of whisky and sake as well. Very knowledgeable staff. Fried chicken was delicious but would not recommend the yakitori.
Quirky and intimate atmosphere, amazing food, smooth sake and delicious cocktails. We were in a small group and had a great night. I would definitely come back!
Had a fantastic time! Excellent service and all food and cocktails were delicious! Must try the karage chicken and miso cuttlefish! Great selection of unique and local gins too!
Nice quiet place. Cocktails are great but a bit pricey. Food quantity and quality was lacking and service was slow once it becomes a little busy. Had to cancel a dish so we could make dessert at another place before it closed.
Really delicious fresh food. Great cocktails especially made and tailored to our individual tastes. The service was friendly and very attentive. We will be back!
Wonderful food, great choice of drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. But go there if you have time to savour, not if you're in a rush.
Great ambience with fresh sashimi and great chef's choice menu with gourmet flavour. First time visit from the ordinary japanese restaurant and definately will revisit.
