Dear diners, please be aware that hotplate tables are not able to be booked online due to popularity. Thank you for your understanding.
You know a Japanese restaurant is good when it manages to establish itself in more than one location, which is exactly what Kamikaze has done. This Brisbane teppanyaki bar and restaurant is as cool as they come in terms of decor, and the meat and seafood on offer makes for a damn good teppanyaki experience. The menu consists of quantity as well as quality with a very impressive range of sets to choose from as well as sushi, bento boxes, tempura options and wholesome udon noodles. You’ll find this branch of Kamikaze on the corner of Logan Road and Kessel Road in Upper Mount Gravatt, where it’s absolutely worth heading armed with a reservation.
Great they were slow coming out with our drinks at first. One drink was served we had to ask twice for the other 2 drinks. Food was great as usual. Other drinks were ordered and were received very quickly. They split the bill which was excellent as most restaurants refuse to. Will definitely go back.
Went here for dinner with a girlfriend last weekend. Meals were amazing. Service & atmosphere were great. I have already raved about it to friends. I will definitely be back!
Great service, staff excellent and the food is awesome fresh and healthy. Would definitely recommend for families or friends to catch up. A tad slow in getting our second drink I would still rate 10
We were there on Sunday 6pm and happy to be seated at the hotplate. The chef was entertaining but it would have been better if there was more audience participation. Our beef so overcooked and when we mentioned it we were offered another re-cook which was really appreciated.
First time visit. Service ok, staff friendly enough. Drinks at the very beginning but took forever to come out. Don’t understand why as they weren’t busy. Lunch specials are great value, however couldn’t imagine being great value if I paid full price. Ordered Macky’s special with prawns. Flavour was ok, I asked steak to be medium rare but steak was chewy. Fried Rice was dry & salty, so paying $4.50 extra wasn’t worth it. Plain rice was better. Overall it’s an OK jap restaurant, but probably wouldn’t go back.
The waitress remembers the requested items and the chicken was kind of burnt. A little bit pricey for what we got. The rice should come included
