The self select anti pasto plate is a great idea. The bread was lovely, fresh out of the oven. The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked. Excellent food all around. I’ll be back

It's a small cafe so I'd recommend booking. However, given that the tables are quite close together the noise levels are good and it's easy to have a comfortable conversation; the conversations from other tables are not intrusive. The main courses are mainly pasta and pizza but there other options. I had vegetarian ravioli with eggplant and pasta sauce. The flavours were great and the pasta well cooked. I did not have a pizza but they looked and smelled great. The prices were reasonable. The wine list offered a good range. The service was helpful and friendly and the food came quickly. I'd go back again.

My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast this morning. The staff were delightful, service excellent and our food delicious. My brother was impressed that his plate was warm when his food was served. I was impressed to be offered either full fat or Hilo milk with my granola however , my visit to the toilet left me less than impressed and not as enthusiastic to return. The whole bathroom toilet area was dirty, behind the door, the floor even the toilet roll holder could hav done with a dam good clean - disappointing.

Always good food. Not sure if it’s changed hands since last visit. Lots of new staff. But still very attentive. I had the lamb ragout with spinach fettuccine. Very big serve. Quite nice but lamb could have had more flavor. Would recommend.

Salmon, Arancini, Kava Pizza and Pear Rocket Salad, ambiance, service all spot on. When you walk away having had an enjoyable meal with nothing to complain about that's all you can ask for isn't it?

Kava is always good value - unfortunately even though you confirmed the booking Kava called us to say they were full. There is obviously a problem somewhere - a simple phone call will be the way to go in the future.

We have just rediscovered this special restaurant in Bicton. It’s cosy on a rainy night. The service is attentive and delicious chef prepared meals are full of flavour. My filet steak just melted in my mouth.

We had been meaning to try Kava for dinner for a while as we had enjoyed breakfast there before. They were very busy, but the service was great. Our meals were huge and quite nice, but not wow, just a little bland.

Waited 85 minutes from entering restaurant for main meal, chilli muscles were not cooked properly as half did not open. Overall not a good experience, but have had good meals/experiences at this café in the past.

Great local restaurant. Our starter was a focaccia with tomatoes and olives. The base was light and crispy and covered with just the right amount of olives and tomatoes. We opted for some pastas for main that were just the right size after the starter and very tasty. We finished off with a grapper affogato. Kava is good value for money and has great food and service.
