Very, very noisy. Needs some soft furnishings to reduce the noise. Almost impossible to hear friends talking. Service average, but it was busy. Food good, but snapper not available?

Some unusual dishes offered but those ordered did not come up to expectations. Meals were served at different times. Have had better meals on previous occasions. Based on this dining experience, would be reluctant to recommend.

Service was welcoming and efficient. The smoked duck breast was very tough and the Sicilian pizza had mushrooms, which weren’t on the menu nor wanted. We will come back again and try other dishes on the menu

Kava Café is consistently good food with a broad selection of quality dishes on the menu. The service is fabulous and the prices are quite reasonable. At $7.50 for corkage we take our own drinks and it all makes for a cheap and cheerful night out!

We went to Kava Café on a Wednesday night and it was almost full. We had the Spaghetti Aglio Aulio and Quattro Di Carne. The spaghetti is nicely cooked and yum, even the ladies next to us wanted to try it when they visit next time. The pizza base is thin and lovely but I found it a little too salty to my liking. Will definitely come back again.

So good to see the place absolutely buzzing on a Thursday night and it definitely added to the ambience. The food we ordered was spot on especially the mix and match share plate and Nero Linguini with squid ink linguini pasta with sauteed shark bay crabs and basil on a Napoletana Sauce. I would have given a 6 but they didn't have any chicken liver for the share plate. Great service as well.

Went for breakfast with mothers group. Food was amazing but a bit slow to come out. Probably won't go back with mothers group as there is not much space for prams and babies, but I will definately go back with my hubby and smaller group. 😊

Had the specials of the day, wild boar pasta and mushroom pizza with a white base. The pizza was perfect, if they have it on offer again, definitely get it. The pasta was somewhat bland but everything else that came out of the kitchen looked perfect and authentic. Will be back soon for sure.

Excellent food and service. Pizzas are very big but they are more than happy to box up the leftovers to take home. We'll be back!

The truffle butter with wood fire bread served hot a good starter. Generous portion of Lamb rack perfectly cooked and well accompanied with white bean puree, steamed brocolini and pistachio salsa was delicious. Rhubarb crumble and ice cream rounded off a delicious meal. The staff warm, friendly and efficient. Recommended.

Delicious food as always. Unfortunately a large noisy group in the restaurant making it very hard to talk and hear. Also sitting in a draft. It was freezing outside. Kava serves Italian food that is a notch above it's competitors at very reasonable prices.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals at Kava, we shared a chilli mussels which had just the right amount of heat and I had the pan fried gnocchi which was delicious, my husband had the duck ragu, he raved about it as it had a large amount of slow cooked duck with the fettucini and I finished off with a delicious Vanilla Pannacotta with berry coulis. We will definitely go back, soon I hope.

Honestly the food there was pretty bland and the service was quite sub par. Despite being sat down first, the owner took orders from other tables ordering alcohol and who clearly arrived after we did. Not worth the money at all.

This place is tucked in the residential neighbourhood. After reading the reviews on the red velvet pancakes, I could not go past this dish. As mentioned in other reviews, the dish isn't huge but reasonable size for $16. The dish was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. I especially loved the homemade cream cheese which tasted cheesier than the packet version. I would however would have liked more pistachio crumb for extra texture. The pan fried gnocchi and prawn linguine were also really tasty. I normally love my sauce in pastas but these dishes were really flavoursome without it swimming in sauce. I was pleasantly surprised. Would come back!
