Khun Thai Restaurant

This is our go to place for Thai in the area because it’s always consistently amazing. We have dined here many many times during busy periods and quiet nights. On our last visit something was very different with our meals. The portion sizes were tiny. One plate had more rice than stir fry. And the serving dish’s were different. I’m not sure if they’ve changed owners or trying something new but it was not the quality we know and trust.

I was really pleasantly surprised, the food was amazing. I would definitely come back .

Khun Thai serves authentic Thai dishes in a nice ambience with good service. Having lived in Bangkok for many years when I visit Melbourne Khun Thai is my go to place when I want to have Thai cuisine. It’s top quality and good value too.

Staff were very friendly and understood from one of our Russian friends that not hot means that there should be no chilli in the prepared food

Usually good but since you ask, on our last visit the beef was chewy and poor quality in the stir fry. Hasn’t happened before

Delicious food, friendly staff. They were busy with both in house and take away and apologised for all the food not coming out at the same time. In saying this there was not a lengthy wait. I appreciated the honesty and prompt communication. Every one enjoyed the food and enjoyed evening and I will definitely rebook.

The restaurant decor is nice, the food is normal, but there is only 1 staff for service, so everything is not standard.
