Great food and wine list, pasta and pizza top quality. Let down by the quality of service. Strange to see so many wait staff loitering around, yet it felt like you had to tackle them to order anything. In 3.5 hrs didn’t have one staff member offer service. More positive note, management addressed our concerns at the end of service, here’s hoping they can iron out their issues.

Camembert was yummy, Aranchini balls too small, gnocchi soft and tasty, lamb and scotch fillet was average for the price and squid ink linguine was average (couldn't taste the crab, prawns were overcooked and clams and mussels were average.

your service was excellent, the waiter very good. I have dined at your restaurant before. We asked the waiter if the Oysters were fresh today he said yes so we ordered them however they weren't so we didn't eat them and sent them back but you still charged us for them

Really nice restaurant. Great atmosphere and food was lovely. It’s the second time we have been and again the staff were very attentive. Went to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Will definitely be going again.

Very modern. Great views from balcony side. Food was very tasty. But waitresses did not speak clear English. Alcohol is overpriced. Good booking service through quandoo.

Fantastic meal and service. Totally recommend this restaurant. On both occasions the staff were amazing. I recommend requesting the outside seating. Thank you for an amazing meal.

Food was average for the price not bad but definitely not a 100 dollar dinner there is 2 other Italian restaurants in the area that are 10000000000 times better don’t be fooled by the view ect if you want quality go elsewhere 👍

Excellent service from the time I made the booking. We were greeted warmly by the ladies at reception and were given the best table with a magical view. Highly recommended

There were six of us in our party and although the restaurant was very busy we were treated like we were the only customers. We were presented with an extensive Italian influenced menu and similarly extensive drinks list. The drinks service was prompt and the food delivered fresh and hot. All of us agreed the food was well presented, cooked to order and proved very tasty. Thank you to the Manager of the restaurant and ALL of the staff in making our evening out so enjoyable.

Great family restaurant, authentic old school Italian. Loved the mostly Italian wait staff who, for a change, were not backpackers! Food excellent medium sized menu with all bases covered. Of course you can’t beat the location a great view of a classic WA sunset. Four of us, worked out $65 ph shared entrees mains deserts and a glass of wine each.

We have had a very enjoyable dinner with friends tonight and Marco our waiter looked after us well and gave us options with the menu.

Food lovely. Highly recommend the risotto. Service wonderful. Our waiter was warm, friendly and attentive. The ambience was lovely too. Overall a great time had.

Brought my wife for her birthday. Had I came here for the nice views that was recommended by my colleague. Although I had the place booked 2 weeks in advance and requested a good view over the phone, we were placed by one of the girls in a not-so-ideal place with no views at all. It was a make or break situation depending on how the rest of the time panned out for us. There was a guy, who introduced himself as Simon later, who attended to our request and really made it work. He gave us one of the best spots with a nice view of the ocean and made our day. Thank you Simon! The staff served us was really friendly and sang happy birthday which was really nice. Food was also great.

Food average - have had much better Italian food elsewhere, noisy, wait staff attentive and friendly, outlook excellent. Will not have main meals again, but happy to go for coffee and cake.

Beautiful location. Reasonably priced. I had the carbonara it was just lacking a bit in flavour. Would have been good if waiter had come to offer Parmesan Cheese.

Overall the food and service were good considering it was a busy public holiday. . . . . . . . . . . .

Great food. Every dish (we had an entree, main, dessert) was presented well, tasted great and was a decent serving. Great prices as well. Will defiantly be coming back.

Great food and fantastic location only surpassed by the excellent service from the wait staff who were very attentive, welcoming and friendly. Italian wine selection is a bonus.

Delicious ItaLian , lovely view, prompt and courteous service. Beautiful building with nice decor and a cool vibe. We are squid ink pasta, seafood platter, bruschetta. Belissimo!

Great food, pretty noisy and we sat right next to,a door leading to the outside which crashed every time the staff walked in and out.

Food was disappointing, Steak was oily and fatty! Pasta over cooked! Staff excellent and very attentive. Drinks excellent! Great atmosphere. Definitely would go back for cocktails!

Despite the restaurant being busy, service was really good. Good selection of food. We had pizza and pasta, both were tasty. Their special dessert, the calzone was delicious. Fantastic location.

Food and service were excellent with both my associate and I both really enjoying it. Our only slight concern was the crowd noise, but that is common with the modern industrial hard surface decor. Highly recommend.

The food was tasty. The service was not great. Firstly the hostess couldn’t find my reservation even though my friend was already seated at our table. Then they forgot about my drink order. For the price I wasn’t very impressed with the service. I would give the restaurant one more try because the food was good.

Was late on serving a main as they served a wrong dish ! Had kids with us so timing is quite critical as they can become a little restless. We did however love the staff, food and environment.

Amazing food, authentic Italian style restaurant with service to match, great experience, extensive, top quality wine list, if you haven’t eaten there yet & get the opportunity don’t pass it up, will definitely be back!!

We attended once in December with a large group of 18 and again in January 2019 as a couple. Fabulous views from almost any table, comfortable chairs, lots of room to move and fantastic service at reasonable prices. Very difficult to criticise anything. Parking was very easy too.

Great menu and food and wine were both excellent. But it was very noisy with no music, and our main course seemed to get lost and took 30 minutes to come out. Doesn’t seem to be much of a dress standard which is disappointing.

After a minor hiccup with my table booking they couldn’t have been nicer. Enjoyed our night and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back, not over the top prices either. Thank you for the cake and birthday song too.

Fabulous food. Wonderful staff especially our waiter - he was very polite & friendly & looked after us very well. This was our 3rd time to La Capaninna - will be back for sure!

It was a most inhospitable evening. The Front person was rude. We are locals and have enjoyed many nights there; we won't be back in a hurry. Extremely disappointing.

have been here several times. the food has been excellent, they have been let down. you need to get staffs attention to get additional service after the orders have been taken.

After numerous attempts at getting a table we finally decided to pre book. This sort of hinted that maybe this place is one of quality. The staff were attentive and courteous. And that’s about it. The place itself is very well decorated. Being so close to the ocean I would have expected it to be a little pricier. The food was ok. My mark of a good Italian is carbonara. A nice simple dish anyone with the ability to breathe in and out on their own should find easy enough to throw together. So when mine is as good I’m thinking I’m in the wrong profession. The breads were amazing and the pizzas were very nice. Overall I would return. Just keep it simple. You’ve got the setting.

Stunning view, comfy but stylish seating. Amazing decor, with lovely staff! Food was amazing! Second time and it didn’t disappoint. Canoli for dessert is a must! Staff was a little slow to start but a change of wait service and she was amazing. Highly recommended and will definitely be back!

We had a great dining experience at La Capannina. The food was very with plenty of choices and the wait staff were excellent and friendly. Highly recommended.

We were disappointed that the service was slow, we waited an hour for our meal. We both had pasta that was gluggy and sticky. The arancini balls were full of mozzarella cheese and overwhelmed the taste of filling. But the manager kindly compensated and apologised for an extremely busy night with over 200 people.
