More about the restaurant: Maharaja's Haveli
Don’t just take it from us, Maharaja’s Haveli will tell you themselves: they’re the best Indian experience outside of, well, India. Why? Because the aim of this Sydney restaurant is to treat every guest like a prince, the food on offer is luxurious and the setting, well, the setting is truly unique. Diners can sit amongst life-size figures that depict everyday life in India, guaranteeing a taste of the subcontinent in more ways than one. We know that may sound perhaps a little too unusual at first but, trust us, it’s really quite charming. You can find Maharaja’s Haveli on Douglas Road in Quakers Hill – go and give it a try.

Thinking about making a Maharaja's Haveli booking?
Still going strong after 20 years, Maharaja’s Haveli is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Indian cuisine in Sydney. But before we get to the food, the collection of custom-made statues that stand life-sized amongst Maharaja’s tables and chairs simply can’t be ignored. Yep, the idea is to create an experience of village life in India, thus everything is designed and manufactured in India, then shipped to Sydney and this location on Douglas Road in Quakers Hill. It’s only a little bit weird but entirely wonderful, and when you factor in a warm welcome from the team here, you won’t want to be missing out.
None of this distracts from the quality of the food, however, which is certainly no gimmick. In fact, it’s some of the tastiest Indian cooking you’ll find in Quakers Hill or indeed the wider Sydney region. Set banquets for two or more people are available (ideal for big groups), as well as plenty of Maharaja’s Haveli specials and classic curries. The Punjab goat curry is a dream, and the duck mouli, made using poppy seeds and dried coconut, is also unmissable. You’re going to love this restaurant just as much as the rest of Sydney.
