Indonesian cuisine is all about creativity and enjoying food with the people you love, and Brisbane’s Makanan Indonesia captures the essence of this perfectly. The team behind this wonderful little restaurant have aimed high, and succeeded, with a menu that is authentic and extremely damn tasty. If you’re not familiar with Indonesian cuisine then we recommend starting off with the national dish, nasi goreng – fried rice with a fried egg sitting pretty on top. If you’re more of a veteran then why not try beef rendang, some fiery satay or cap cai? It’s all here at this gem of Brisbane’s West End, sitting just off of busy Hardgrave Road. Treat yourself and reserve a table at Makanan Indonesia now.
The foods are delicious. The coconut rices are so nice and so tasty. We are all happy. I have told my Aussie friends to try this Indonesian food
The staff were very attentive, there were diverse food choices, well prepared and tasty but - not much chilli, and the rendang needed a bit of heat.
