Very expensive for pub food. Flavours don’t compliment produce. Poor service, wait staff loud and chatting amongst themselves.

Main courses over-cooked and disappointing, otherwise it was fine .

We had a great meeting in a quiet sunny spot next to the window, and the food, beer, wine and service was excellent, enjoyed by all of us.

The sunroom was a great area for our group of 19. Everyone was very happy with their menu selections and enjoyed their choices. Voted by all a great venue.

While The Malvern Hotel looks a little deshabille from the outside, once you enter, it’s a traditional pub in the good sense of the word: old-time charm still evident in the “bones” of the original building, open fireplace and polished wooden floors. The staff are very present, in showing you to your table and informing you about specials and providing drinks. The wine (& beer) list is varied and interesting. The menu is similarly entertaining. This is not “pot ‘n’ parma”, but an eclectic and nuanced range of dishes, prepared with flair and pride. That’s not to say the staples (fish ‘n’ chips, steak) aren’t there; they are, and of excellent quality too. We strongly recommend The Malvern as a great choice for a very nice dining experience with good friends.
