Tried this place as it is one of very few gluten free Chinese restaurants in Melbourne. It was fantastic, staff very knowledgable about gf requirements. The dumplings were great. Will be back!

Food was good and fast service. However, overall service could improve such as the basics. Don't make the customer pack their leftover food from table.

We opted for gluten free for the three of us to keep our diet restricted friend company. Really enjoyed the dumplings but perhaps the Mongolian beef was a little plain as some more sauce would have been nice. Overall the service was good, the place was really full and enjoyable overall.

Lovely people ,enjoyed Gluten Free options , easy to find , fresh food , delivered timely enjoyed the whole experience will certainly go back off to the theatre afterwards

Good gluten free range, quick service, noisy patrons tho(expected with BYO Chinatown restaurants). Would recommend to friends and family and those who suffer Celiac disease

Very bad smell when entering the restaurant this time? Put me off quite a bit. Still happy with service and quality of food however. Will be back.

Awesome food, very friendly staff. I’m a Coeliac and ate dumplings for the 1st time in over 17 years. I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face. I’ll be returning again soon

food was good, gluten free dumplings a bit small, had to buy more, service was slow, a bit expensive but we expected that buying gluten free.

Great little restaurant. My friends and I had dumplings, pork buns, spring rolls and fried rice and all of it was delicious. The place itself is bright and has a cool vibe, but it is a bit hard to spot from the street, I almost walked past it. would definitely go there again!

Great value and excellent service. Would recommend for a quick lunch or any work celebrations. I had the lunch special and it was really good.

Great food at very reasonable prices - it’s byo which makes such a difference particularly with a large group. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The bbq pork buns are absolutely delicious

I went primarily with a view to sampling the gluten-free dumplings. My son praised them highly, while I thought they were quite good. The pork stir-fry contained gluten, so I did not eat it; however, it was pronounced tasty by the three others with whom I dined. The gluten-containing dumplings were acknowledged to be acceptable but rated below what can be purchased elsewhere. There was nothing to complain about the simple, gluten-free plate of greens. The service was sufficiently friendly and efficient. The meal was inexpensive.

My 8 year old coeliac daughter especially appreciated your Gluten free menu. The service and other food else was great too! We'll be back again soon!

Great food, especially the chilli oil dumplings, lots of choice to suit everyone. Well priced. Dinner for 4 with wine and beers came in at about $40 a head. excellent service.

Mao please has to be one of the better dumpling places in the city/ china town. Orders are done quickly and the dumplings are always delicious!

Good value restaurant. Ordered a banquet for a group. Much more attention could be paid to cleanliness of bathroom areas for guests. Vegetarian fried rice had some cubes of ham in it - had to request a replacement. Also, I would suggest inclusion of the pork buns or dumplings into the banquet menu. One thing I would recommend at this restaurant is their steamed pork buns.

We were a large group dining, and were happy with the service and the food. I had the gluten free chicken and prawn dumplings, and recommend them.
