Mark and Vinney – of none other than Mark & Vinny’s Spaghetti & Spritz in Surry Hills – are trailblazer’s in the dining scenes of both Sydney and Melbourne. Their aim: taking dairy- and meat-laden dishes and turning them into healthy creations using plant-based ingredients. Not only are they unique, but they’re also as delicious as the originals. And alongside your food, you can order up some of the best cocktails in town – try the Fly Me To The Moon or one of the signature spritzes if you’re up for some bubbly goodness.
Now let’s get to the good part: the food. Sydney’s Mark & Vinny’s Spaghetti and Spritz serves food that harkens back to the good old days, without the unnecessary use of excessive dairy products and meat. After all, what’s the point of moving forward if you don’t evolve in the process? This elevated Italian cuisine does just that. Start off with melanzane, a burnt eggplant dip with calabrian chilli, before moving on to Mark & Vinny’s signature spaghetti dishes – we like the beetroot spaghettini with mushrooms, truffles and homemade cashew creme fraiche. For dessert, the vegan No-Tella Ravioli is simply out of this world. But don’t just take our word for it, make your way to Mark & Vinny’s Spaghetti & Spritz on Waterloo Street in Surry Hills to taste it for yourself.
Love! I had the spaghetti with vegetarian meatballs and zucchini noodles... SO GOOD. Also one one the best aperol spritz I’ve ever had, highly recommend
Such a nice restaurant! The owner greets you at the door and shakes your hand before seating you. The venue is small and intimate with great lighting and design. The food is incredible with a variety of vegan and non vegan options on almost every dish. Would highly recommend going!
Love vinny! met him upon entry last night what an excellent restaurant owner! he is an example of how all owners should be! Although, it was very cramped for our party i felt bad for my friend constantly had to keep moving for the people who sat next to us that kept going to the toilet ! But with that being said food was incredible and the spritz was even more better! we visited as spaghetti and spritz was our go to in europe 6 months ago and we thought we would go to mark and vinnys to relive that, so thank you for the experience vinny! we loved it !
