We sat inside with the warmth of the fireplace, the food was delivered quickly, the Wagyu beef burger was great, music was playing in the background. We ordered our meal at the bar, where we could get drinks, handy.

Helpful and flexible with menu for fussy family with lots of little changes to the dishes. Quick service. Delicious and very filling Shamrock Pies and Sausages and Champ. Steak special let the overall experience down though. Tough overcooked and grisly. But would still recommend for the normal menu and friendly staff. And nice Guiness.

I have been a regular visitor to the Mercantile over the last 43 years. Nothing has changed. It still has the best Guinness and Shamrock Pie in Sydney. déan fabhar duit féin agus téigh Need I say more?

Booked a table outside for 12 noon, we enjoyed the sunshine on a cold day. Easy to find the table as there was reserve sign and a red tile with my name and time written on the tile. Order inside and the food is brought out to you. Great location near the Sunday market. Service was great also. Menu had a large variety at reasonable prices

We love spending Sunday lunch time at this pub, great food and if you can secure a table outside there is plenty going on to keep you entertained, always manage to meet interesting people too.

I love the Mercantile. Food is pretty consistent, decent servings and reasonably priced for the City. My only complaint is that they always seem to run out of mussels...and they are very good. Live music is another reason I go to this pub. And the Guinness and Kilkenny are always fantastic.

We love to visit this pub for a few drinks and Sunday lunch, great atmosphere and as we were there for the Guinness and Oyster festival we also enjoyed the Oysters and the wonderful Irish dancing, would recommend the steak and Guinness pie.

Tables pushed together in main bar, for 10 of us not ideal. Food was hit & miss. Curries & pie ok, veggie burger & sausage/ chips average.

Excellent spot for a pub lunch in the rocks. Typical pub food - very well priced but food great. Loved the service. Everyone who looked after us was excellent.
