Booked a table outside for 12 noon, we enjoyed the sunshine on a cold day. Easy to find the table as there was reserve sign and a red tile with my name and time written on the tile. Order inside and the food is brought out to you. Great location near the Sunday market. Service was great also. Menu had a large variety at reasonable prices

We love spending Sunday lunch time at this pub, great food and if you can secure a table outside there is plenty going on to keep you entertained, always manage to meet interesting people too.

I love the Mercantile. Food is pretty consistent, decent servings and reasonably priced for the City. My only complaint is that they always seem to run out of mussels...and they are very good. Live music is another reason I go to this pub. And the Guinness and Kilkenny are always fantastic.

We love to visit this pub for a few drinks and Sunday lunch, great atmosphere and as we were there for the Guinness and Oyster festival we also enjoyed the Oysters and the wonderful Irish dancing, would recommend the steak and Guinness pie.

Tables pushed together in main bar, for 10 of us not ideal. Food was hit & miss. Curries & pie ok, veggie burger & sausage/ chips average.

I recommend the excellent Shamrock Pie and a $7 pint of Guinness. There are daily specials on the menu. The whole pub has an authentic Irish feeling to it.

Great food, reasonable price, nice staff. My only complaint is that the mussels were really tiny this time. When ordered previous visits they were large and plump.

The food and staff were both amazing. It was very busy with the markets but the staff were always available to help. I was a little disappointed to not get soda bread with the stew, but think they had run out but everything else was great! Thank you!

Lovely, friendly staff, good music, food is average but they have great chips, in our party of 6 one meal needed to be sent back as the Shamrock pie was still frozen in the middle, the superfast replacement was perfect, very loud and happy atmosphere, well done to the staff :)
