While it may be located right in the heart of the city, step inside Michelangelo Osteria and you’ll easily feel like you’ve been transported away to Rome or rural Italy, with its traditional decor and authentic Italian cuisine. Serving up pizza, pasta and other Italian favourites, Michelangelo Osteria is a popular choice among Melbourne’s aficionados of Italian cuisine, whether it is for breakfast or lunch. We recommend trying one of Michelangelo Osteria’s authentic Italian pizzas like the salame(tomato, mozzarella, salami, olives and artichokes) or a hearty pasta dish like the gnocchi sorrentina (gnocchi with napoli sauce and mozzarella cheese). Located on Queen Street in Melbourne’s CBD district, Michelangelo Osteria is the perfect spot for a working long or post shopping feast. Book ahead to guarantee a table!
Good service and great food. I have been here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The 'Tonnarelli cacio e pepe' is worth trying.
Tremendous italian food and wonderful staff Highly recommend for a quick, confidential, lunch. Loved the doughnuts served with the coffee and the Canneloni was magnificent.
service and food were once again excellent. minestrone soul was packed full of veggies and was great for the cold weather. the gnocchies were soft and chewy and well accompanied by the ragu sauce. we were given complimentary mini Italian doughnuts which was as good as the meals we enjoyed. would happily return.
Great little place which have a very welcoming feel to it. Prices are on par with other Italian establishments, if anything cheaper but quality and taste isn't compromised.
Good home style cooked Italian food and well priced. I had the duck ragu pasta and the Michelangelo pizza. I was visiting from interstate and this restaurant was recommended to me. Will be back when next in Melbourne.
A great lunch venue, simple and fresh Italian food. Service is always excellent. Prices are very reasonable and we eat here on a regular basis.
