Montezuma's - Crows Nest

The service was excellent - staff members were attentive and friendly. Food-wise, they were slow to come out but the food quality was quite good. The vegan menu was comprehensive too and it was delicious. Overall we look forward to return to this restaurant.

Waited an hour for our food (the restaurant was not that busy) people who arrived before us still hadn't received their food by the time we finished eating. They stuffed our order up and never brought my drink then proceded to over change us $30 for things we never received or did not order. My meal was delicious but my partner and his brothers meals where over cooked to the point their rice was burnt black.

Asked about the 1 litre of sangria & was told we would need that for 3 people. Half a litre was adequate as it was quite strong. Food was great.

Food is always great. Love their beef! Staff are always willing to help with dietrary requirements and always friendly. Have been coming here regularly for over 6 years now.

We’re frequent visitors to Montezuma’s and always get great food, generous portion sizes, great service and good value for money. They’ve also greatly improved efficiency at the bar so you needn’t wait. Always a fun time!

Food was good. Service was friendly. We haven't been for a few years as our past experience wasn't good but this time everything was great.

Food came out quickly. And was very hot.it was flavoursome and there were many options. I personally got the vegan menu and it was very good I would totally recommend it

Very friendly and helpful owner who was very attentive to my out of town parents who didn't know Mexican. We all enjoyed it...especially the fuss made over the birthday boy.

A great place to take kids, food is good as is the atmosphere. It's been my kids' favourite restaurant for several years. Highly recommended, good for groups too.

Very good food, nice atmosphere and good service. The food was hot and delivered quickly even on a busy night. The drinks were ice cold and the overall meal was reasonably priced.

The service is usually good but tonight it was shocking. Our table and the one next to us waited so long for our tables to be cleared we did it ourselves, taking it up to the kitchen. I'm disappointed for the owner who is always very attentive

Huge helpings, great range of authentic options massive menu of imported Mexican beers. Also kid friendly layout so you can even relax with toddlers which says a lot.

Loved it! Will be back. Food was good, generous servings, liked the atmosphere. Staff need a bit more training but other than that definitely worth a visit.

Fun family meal. Service was great. Food hasnt changed in the 20 + years we've been going to Montezumas but there's sort of something comforting in that! One difference is that my daughter was offered a seperate vegan/ vegetarian menu. Great idea.

The food was excellent heaps of flavor and very friendly service great atmosphere for the kids. The family would definitely go back there again to eat.

We had a wonderful experience with their friendly service of delicious food. Highly recommend Montezuma's for a Mexican Feast. Also, they cater brilliantly for food intolerances.

Aversge food. Disgraceful service. We were kep wIting for an hour snd 40 minutes to be served with our food. When it came it was half cold. Never again.

The servers weren't very attentive and didn't seem to want to serve us. The food was good but over priced for the value of it.

Simple yummy Mexican food! Love their beef. They do vegetarian and also now vegan which is great if you have someone in your group that is vegan as you can still eat yummy food and they can eat too! Been a regular here for years and will keep coming back 👍

Great atmosphere and food was ok but chicken fahita's were dry. Food took way too long to arrive on the table and in some cases was overcooked

The beef burritos are amazing! I love the white cheese inside it. The fundido dip is extremely nice - I have been to the restaurant 4 times in less than a month!

Crazy busy on a public holiday. Booked at 7.30pm and still had to wait quite some time to be seated and another 1/2 hour to be served but food was spot on as always!

It was amazing! Burritos and fundido dip is addictive! I had the prawn burrito for a change - the salad was nice. The more cheese the better!

Great! I had an enchilado, but I think I prefer the burritos. I like the white cheese inside the burrito which the enchilados don't seem to have.

Delicious food. Service a bit slow- had to wave down staff a few times. Asked one of the waiters what flavour one of the sauces was, he went away to check but never came back.

Nice atmosphere. Deceptively large space as you can only see a small portion of the restaurant from the street. Food was good. Service staff were nice and friendly, however they weren't attentive enough to see that we wanted serving.

Have been going to Montezumas for 20 years and after not having been for a year the quality has dropped considerably. The size of the meals has shrunk and the service is very poor but the prices have gone up. Sadly we won't be returning.

Good but tacos fairly stodgy. Very nice atmosphere, enchiladas were top notch, service was a bit slow but overall nice place to catch a bite to eat.

We had a great night at Montezuma's. The service was good and we all enjoyed the food. some of our group have food allergies and these were well catered for, so no problems there. All together an excellent time. Warren.

Beautifull people,beautifull music and really good relaxed atmosphere. Staff were all smiles!!!! Great selection of liquid gold. Great selection of entrees...how could i say no to pull pork nachos. Food was served promtly and was more food than i expected...been to few mexican restaurants...and cant beat montezumas. My kids love the food here. Its worth every dollar!!!! Prices are very competitive..well its way cheaper and much much better quality. Can't wait to come back..thank you montezumas.

Seven of us went to Montezuma's for dinner on Saturday night. Although it was busy the young waiters were very helpful and looked after us. All our main meals were large, tastey helpings supplied hot. We were all very happy with our individual choices. Montezuma's is an inexpensive local restaurant that we can all recommend for a family and friends night out.

Loved all the vegan options here! Such a quirky little place with heaps of character :) food was great - the staff were really friendly (a male and female who appeared to be South American) as well! Prices reasonable as well, would recommend stopping by!

A charmingly themed restaurant serving authentic Mexican cuisine. Every combination of beef & chicken tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas you could imagine, topped off with homemade sangria and a non-alcoholic version for the kids :-) Donald Trump wouldn't build a wall in front of this place...

The food was great with a fun atmosphere although there was a lack of service. We had to wait a while for our food and plates to be cleared.

The food and drinks are fabulous, the servings are quite big and the atmosphere is very bright and very authentic. We will be back soon.

Excellent vegan options! So delicious! And very grateful that they split bills. The seating is really nice (we were in a two person booth at the back) I will return due to these points alone. In terms of service, I think it could be stepped up just a tiny bit (I asked for water and the waitperson told me to get it myself instead of bringing it to the table, for example). The vegan churros didn't come with melted chocolate like my friend's non-vegan churros did...a lot of dark chocolate is vegan so I really think that is something they should add to the dish. And lastly, I think it's crazy that guacamole isn't automatically included in vegetarian nachos!!! All in all though, I loved my meal and will be back.

Always great food. Honest mexican cuisine, with fair prices. Great for small groups. We left after dinner happy, full and keen to come back again soon!

We had an excellent dinner here, highly recommend the food & sangria :) The decor is fun and the kids menu is very popular with our family, we will be back 👍
