Very nice staff, nice decoration and like the details, cozy environment

Great value for money size meals that taste delicious, with a Mexican atmosphere.

Arrived at 1750 drink and food orders were taken quickly but over 45 mins to wait for food at the table. Extra drinks orders were taken but never arrived. Friendly enough staff but table service boycotted best.

Simply horrid. Substandard food, substandard staff. No atmosphere. Don't waste your time.

The food is always good here. Saturday night can be busy and you will have to wait a little for your meals but they always come piping hot. Of course the bar is always serving while you wait.

Service was amazing - didn’t catch her name but the blonde lady with glasses served us and she was so patient and helpful! Food was delicious and did not take long to come at all. A perfect dining experience!!!

It took 35 minutes to come out and there was no staff around to ask questions about the menu. I had to go up and ask the only girl at the bar a query about a dish. I found my meal the Monetezuma Delight a bland dish and not worth the money or the wait !

Food was great as usual, but a little slow on the service tonight.

Friendly and efficient service, only suggested improvement would be to improve the food delivery time...

Meals satisfactory but waited a long time for them to be served.

We have been going to Montezuma's, Taringa for over 20 years. Over the past couple of years since the owner sold to new managers the quality of the food has declined markedly. This visit was the worst ever. I will give the staff credit when they realised that our order had gotten lost in the system and we had been waiting an hour for food they quickly rectified the situation. The food that arrived was well below the quality we used to get at Montezuma's. I highly doubt we will return as it is clear the new owners do not care as much as the previous owner.. Very sad as this has been a family favourite for a long time.

We went there for my mother’s birthday. Thank you to the staff for making our night enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble

There’s Great food and service. It’s a dog friendly place.

Very disappointed. Poor service - waiter did not come back to table after taking order so unable to order drinks and extra food. I tried to get the waiters attention multiple times and even tried to call the phone to ask a waiter to come to our table. Food was very tasteless and the chicken nachos were missing the corn chips... The only positive was the hot sauce.

Nobody acknowledged us shen we arrived. When someone finally did, we were just pointed in the direction of our table. We were first to arrive but no sooner had the rest of our party sat down, we were asked if we were ready to order. When we said no, there was a lengthy period till we did get to order. The food took ages to arrive and didnt all arrive at the same time. We had to ask for a dessert menu and then there was another lengthy wait forbthe order to be taken then another long wait for the food to arrive which we were dissapointed in. Other members of our party had ordered cappuccinos and were not even offered sugar or a spoon. All in all a pretty ordinary experience

We've been going to Montezumas Taringa for 16 years and we still love it. Such beautiful food!!

Our reserved table was ready when we walked in, and we were able to order drinks and menu items quickly. We received our drinks and appetizers with not too much wait, but our food arrived well over an hour later. The service staff didn't stop by to enquire if we needed additional drinks while we waited, and when the food arrived, it was over done with the top of the rice dried out and burnt and the sour cream dried as well. The service staff raced off without enquiring if we needed drink refills, so we flagged one down and asked for a bottle of water. She brought it to us and raced off again without bringing glasses. We used one glass at the table for everyone to share. No one asked if we needed anything and the restaurant was virtually empty. It was very disappointing overall.

The meal was lovely, unfortunately we had to wait long time for meal,there were 15 of us so understand this, however they were closing around us while we were having birthday cake.

Fast efficient and friendly service, though with not much care given because we were late arriving and they wanted to close. Orders were well cooked however some elements of food were dry and bland.

Why do they close so early on a Saturday night, we didnt get a chance to get desert. Not that you need desert, when the portions are so big ! It's a shame they close early though! Love the food and the sangria !

Meal was delicious as always and the staff were very attentive and done a wonderful job looking after our table. But of a wait for our meals but worth it.

Food was very good with generous portions and cocktails most enjoyable. Service was a little slow with side dishes and extra corn chips. Food and drinks otherwise were delivered speedily. It wasn’t a particularly busy restaurant even though it was a Saturday night.

Our meals were great and we really enjoyed them. Unfortunately a noisy children's party made it hard to hear at times even though we were at the opposite end of the room. Staff were very attentive.

The food is always exceptional and the staff are really friendly. I would recommend Montes. The sangaria is delicious too. Great place to relax on a Friday night. You should book on a Friday and Saturday night,

The food was as delicious as always! Staff were attentive and it was a busy evening. A few times we had to remind about extra drinks being ordered. There were no pencil cases for the little ones to colour their sheets though :( Still loved our evening with great food, company and atmosphere.

The servers are always attentive and friendly and the food was awesome as always. One of our favorite places to take the family for dinner.

The staff were very fast, very friendly and very available when needed. I couldnt decide what to order and i was asked every couple of minutes if I was ready or needed a hand. Drinks were served very quickly. Food was served piping hot and quickly as well great job all round.

Nice atmosphere inside and big meals. We’ve been a couple of times now and they always seem to be run off their feet with meals taking over 40 minutes to arrive. Expect a wait for food.

Experience was delightful for a Saturday evening. There was a little bit of a wait for the meals to be served due to the number of people. However, the meals were delicious and enjoyed to the last mouthful.

Staff were very new the night we went. Like first day new. Very awkward and uncomfortable when taking orders and bringing food. Otherwise good, food is always good there.

Lovely service, great meals! From the moment we arrived we were looked after by friendly servers. They were happy to work with us to choose a meal that a non-Mexican eater could try - and he loved it :-)

Fabulous Mexican food with great service. Great for the whole family. The restaurant has a bright atmosphere and offers a great selection of gluten free meals.

The trade mark dish Montezumas Delight (Veg) was delicious. However the size/amount of the serving was not overly generous. Although I am a small eater, I was still feeling hungry after this main. Dianne, Taringa.

The meal took forever to arrive and, when it did, mine was cold while my husband’s was too hot to eat and burnt around the edges.

We had really great food when we dined for lunch on Saturday . They serve excellent kids meals. This place is a real family favourite :)

Food and service were good. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and prompt. Only niggle was the drinks we ordered were unavailable as they didn't have the ingredients but there were good alternatives.

The staff were friendly and the food was fine. We were asked to leave just before 8.30pm which seemed early. There was no decaf coffee available.

This montezumas has been at Taringa for so long, and the food is still great. They make a yummy margarita too. Good night was had.

Food was good, wait ones were good, but they could warn you about the boiling hot plate so you don’t end up with four incredibly burnt fingers.

Was a busy Saturday night, but once we ordered the food it came in good time for 8 people. They were also happy to bring out a birthday cake we provided and sing Happy Birthday for one of the kids in our group, which was much appreciated. A fun, vibrant and noisy place with great food and drinks - but watch the hot plates especially with kids!
