Okami - Frankston

This Okami is tiny, the parking is crap, terrible service, subpar food. even though all Okami's have the same concept and menu. the preparation of this food was terrible. with the beef carpaccio swimming in its marinade rather than the usual drizzle. it was foul. the service was shocking, the food took a long time and almost took the full dining time to finally receive our drinks which we ended up paying for twice. my advice: drive a little further for better quality

Tables were very squished together. Food took a long time to come out. Very very noisy. Otherwise very delicious.

As usual we left without getting all the food we ordered because they seem to always miss something. Its also so overcrowded the noise level becomes unbearable and just ruins the night

Okami is always a great go to for a good meal that’s filling and delicious

Food was great. There was 8 of us crammed into 3 tables, meant for 6. I thought the restaurant must have been expecting capacity, but it seemed about 30%. Made the dining uncomfortable, juggling empty plates and limited space. Ordering off the phone is a little clunky, and the older patrons with us didn't like it. But as I said the food was lovely.

Have been to multiple Okami's and this one was great. Food was cooked all the way through. The special for the free 65$ sushi platter was a very welcomed addition to the table. Food took its time to get delivered and during the same order. Parking is poor as the restaurant car park is terribly small and the outside parking is only 1h parking (if you don't get caught for longer). Do recommend this location.

We had some older patrons with us who are more familiar with menus you can hold and look at rather than on the phone- it would be great if they could still see through a physical menu on what to order

I had been a long time customer & have introduced many people to this establishment as the food is always good. But tonight the service was terrible, As they have a in house rule that is not mentioned anywhere in their online terms and conditions, Where they charge you for wasted food. I don’t have a problem with that but what i do have a problem with is the fact that they brought our table several dishes that we did not order. We legitimately had less then two dishes that we could not finish & then the plus two & a half that we didn’t order but tried to eat due to there made up in house rule. Again the charge is not the issue i have it’s the attitude of the staff. I showed them that there waste fee is not mentioned anywhere on there website or in there terms & condition. And in response to them looking at it themselves & not being able to show it to me they then appointed my attention to a small sign on the wall on the other side of the restaurant from where we were sitting. Next i pointed out that the wastage free on my receipt depicts a requirement of more then 200g for the charge. We had a couple of small pieces of chicken barley 100g at best. In summary just be careful when they put food on your table as they often bring the wrong things & if you don’t pay attention and don’t finish it they will charge you for it. They will also refuse to let you take it with you which totally defeats the purpose of there charge being to avoid wastage as they will be throwing it out. In the end they just ignored my genuine concern about the policy & pointed there eftpos machine at me rudely. I paid we left & we won’t be going back.

The food was served quickly and the waiters were very amicable. The food was good especially the entrees but some of the main courses were disappointing. The wine prices were great. The only disappointment was the noise. The restaurant was full, and the noise level was high

Really disappointed the black sesame ice cream and fish have been removed from the dessert menu. The brown sugar roll is excessively is excessively sweet and underwhelming. All the other food was enjoyable as always, and the staff were amazing as usual.
