Service was great, beautiful views just on sunset, food was of a very good standard.
Excellent food, great service, complement to waiters and chef, definitely will be back.
We had great service from a lovely young lady . Meal was very nice well presented
Everything was perfect from the moment I walked in. Amazing service and the food was perfect. Topped off an absolutely stunning day. Highly recommend
The main meal rack of pork was excellent and the scotch fillet was delicious
Unreal great service and helpful would totally recommend to come here
Beautiful restaurant, the staff were very attentive and friendly..We really enjoyed our meal..Thankyou very much..
Disappointed - as we paid for a 2 course meal each in our Luxury Escape package but really my husband only could have 1 course (main meal) as the sides were classed as a course. We thought 2 course was a Entree and main or main and a sweet?
Fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere, stunning views over the water with Mt Wellington in the background.
We were looking forward to this restaurant as it had come in a package with our accommodation booking. We ordered the Cape Grim steak followed by two seasonal desserts. The steaks came out slightly overcooked which was a bit disappointing but the 45-50 minute wait for our desserts afterward was not great. The apricot dessert lacked flavour, however the chocolate cherry dessert was pretty nice. We were offered free drinks for the wait which was kind of the staff but unfortunately it was not the best experience.
Food was excellent and service was very good. The view was amazing. The food was fine-dining quality but the restaurant has a bit of a cafeteria feel. Small touches like cloth napkins and salt and pepper mills (not shakers) would help.
Food was brilliant. Service was great. The building is architecturally srunning. Views were beautiful. Definitely will go back.
Delicious food in a lovely location with very good service
Great staff, helpful & attentive without being over zealous. Delicious food. Wine surprisingly good Only thing I would change would be to make menu more descriptive promoting particularly Tasmanian flavours or products
Extremely pleasant.Food was great. Staff were fantastic. Will come again
Lovely meal. Very quiet so lacking in atmosphere as a very big space.
Had dinner & dessert last night and breakfast this morning. Everything was great. Service, food and ambience. Will definitely be back.
The venue was nice and the service was okay today. The menu was very limited.
We plan to visit the cherry picking farm and lunch at the restaurant! But too bad the cherry picking is not available and food choices at restaurant is limited! Maybe this is the low season and not ready for guests yet ! Good if can alert me in advance and we may need to change our travel itinerary!
I had recently had lunch at orani was very nice so came back. This time my fish&chips were not good..fish batter was over cooked very crispy hard to cut through. Very disappointed
The menu was very limited and the food was not very nice at all. Used to be lovely so we were all very disappointed and we will not return.
Staff are lovely. Limited menu. Expensive to eat in restaurant
The restaurant was OK, really enjoyed the dinner last night😊
As we were staying at Iron Creek Eatate, Orani was a short walk from our room. The staff were brilliant and the food was amazing! Hubby had the steak and I had the pork and they were both melt in your mouth delicious. The side of mash we got, we could’ve eaten a whole bowl on its own. Very creamy. We really enjoyed our meal.
The restaurant is beautifully fitted out as well as the location. The staff were welcoming and well informed of the menu. The food was not up to the standard of the surroundings. Personally the food was over seasoned with too much salt/pepper lacking the taste of the food that looked beautiful. Overpriced for what we received.
Would highly recommend this place. Great customer service, quality menu and amazing views from dining area.
It was nice but the meals were all Too small
The mushroom papardelle was probably the most refined and elegant pasta dish we have ever had. Excellent service.
Lovely setting and food was good. Staff very friendly and courteous
Yogurt was 6 days out of date, self serve coffee was a big let down, fried eggs were cold and not cooked, the toaster was the slowest on earth. Postives were great outlook and kids playground.
Sadly, as the setting is stunning and the venue palatial (except the heating wasn't up to the spacious lay out - so it was uncomfortably chilly) the food, despite the new menu is subpar. It could be succinctly described as providing beer quality food on a champagne budget. We had the pumpkin to start which was bland, undercooked and drawfed by its entree sized plate. Next the mushroom parpidelle, which lacked both titular ingredients, providing maybe four sad little mushrooms with a shop bought spagettoni style pasta which had long seen its al dente days. This was roiling in an oily sauce with an attempt at a umami flavour reminiscent of vegimite, and topped, incredibly with benito flakes. On a vegetarian dish? The tiny weeny wallaby shanks were apparently fine but even paired with an expensive potato slurry called mash (and seperately priced) left the diner hungry. The meal was expensive and the quality certainly wasn't reflected in the price. How hard is it to provide tasty, fresh food? That there were only two other tables in the cavenrous resteraunt would suggest our underwhelming experience was not unique. Oh. The oysters were good. Not great, but not irritatingly disappointing.
Beautiful setting, attentive staff and gourmet food. Highly recommend, delicious
Great first time experience, we’ll be back. Very friendly and professional staff
The food was wonderful and the view was great, however, the wait staff weren't particularly skilled in the hospitality department. We were seated and then ignored. Eventually we had to ask for somebody to come and take our order and to explain how the Father's day menu worked. Not a great first impression. We have been wanting to dine here for a while but unfortunately was let down by the service.
Food was not as pictured on the ad. No desserts offered.. what father’s day doesn’t involves sweets. Lucky I only ate a couple of chicken wings or there wouldn’t have been enough meat for my partner. He would gave gone home hungry. Wine selection was only a red or a sweet wine? Not impressed
Excellent the food and service definitely be back for another visit
Amazing food and service as always love the changes in the menu
Next to no choice for a vegetarian diet, also only one serve of fish left at a 6:45 dinner sitting.
Hello. We have to honest, we were a Little disappointed that only the basic brunch menu was on offer. We looked at the website and the menu was not the same. Not sure if this was on the website or not but if it was it was not clear. Such a stunning venue but the food offerings didn't meet our expectations sorry.
At present the restaurant isn't serving lunch, just a 'brunch' menu with a fairly thin selection of light lunch items - not really conducive to lingering over lunch. I'm not sure the website makes this sufficiently clear - at the time of writing it refers to serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sadly, despite the venue being nearly empty, the food was average and lukewarm.
The meal and view were both great and good service
Nice atmosphere would have enjoyed my food being hotter perhaps
The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. I cannot wait to return.
Such wonderful food and amazing location. Well worth a visit.
Amazing outlook friendly staff nice and quiet will recommend to other people
Great steak and pork dish just enough for us elderly.
We found that the meals were not good value for the cost. The crab linguine for $32 was basically just pasta with very little crab.
Booked the restaurant for a birthday lunch and while the venue and vista was absolutely stunning, the experience unfortunately was very disappointing. Firstly we had perused the menu on line and was excited with some of the options we had. On arrival we were told the menu had changed but hadn't been changed on the website yet. We were offered a choice of 4 mains and 4 desserts (however none of the choices we had premade were on the new menu) and when we went to order we found that there was actually only 3 choices of mains and 3 choices for dessert as two were unavailable. When our order arrived we had only one main dish although we had ordered one each. The birthday boy then had to wait until a new dish was cooked before getting his main. To top it off, the short black he ordered was definitely not short. Although a discount was given when the bill was paid, the experience on the day was far from a 'special birthday treat' and extremely disappointing, especially considering we had travelled a distance with the hopes of a special day.
Background music could be softer/ quieter Lovely outlook, friendly staff and good space between tables. The Veal scallopini dish was disappointing as it was crumbed ( should it have been labeled as a veal schnitzel.) as scallopini cooking descriptor.is a light flouring and then pan fried for a few minutes and served with a pan sauce) King fish was moist and tasty but the dish was advertised as being served with coastal greens ( which we had to request and when provided - was a tiny amount to share between 3 king fish diners ) Bread and butter plates were part of the table setting and I was hoping there would have been offered a bread roll or slice of house bread as complimentary Surcharge for payment by card - found this quite irksome as the reason for the surcharge was advertised as keeping your prices down. My meal cost $78 - for 1 main plus a share of sides and a glass of champagne.
Good thank you very much wine was great thanks again
