Awesome restaurant. The best modern Vietnamese you’ll ever eat in Sydney. Must try for gourmands. Go and be delighted. Highly recommended for its sheer quality and taste sensation.

Great food - try the Scallops in Betel leaf and Tamarind Duck. Very yummy. Service friendly and efficient plus great location in heart of Balmain.

Had an amazing time here. Food was flavoursome, service was really attentive even though they were busy. Ordered 1 entree and 2 mains with steam rice for 3 of us, which was more than enough. Such a generous portion! Will definitely come back!

This restaurant has consistently great food. Sadly there was a mixup with our order which ended up being really slow in coming. It’s usually very good so I won’t hold this against them. Still one of the best in Balmain

The Barramundi dish was just superb, the chicken with sweet potato bland, the entree of duck paper roll nice but the duck a bit overcooked and tough, the scallop dish superb, The service was impeccable and the restaurant ambience very nice. Altogether a very good experience and I would go back and recommend it to others.

An experience at Phamous takes one to the utter ends of the known cosmos. In taste, smell, texture and sight the dishes excel. But it is the sound, the symphony of cuisine that made us devotees to Phamous.

Consistently good food and great service. We keep going back to enjoy the food at this great restaurant. Musamem Curry is a standout along with The Barramundi.

Phamous Kitchen is unlike any other Vietnamese restaurant I have been to. The dishes are quite unique. My pick would have to be the Wagyu Beef wrapped in Betel leaves. Beautiful presentation and exquisite taste. A dining experience I would recommend to anyone who likes to venture away from 'safe' food.

All of the Food was really delicious! I recommend the tamarind duck and broccoliini. We brought our wine but beer would have been great too.

Interesting, delicious contemporary cuisine drawing on traditional dishes. Good service with very pleasant staff and nice feel to the seating area -some outside tables too.

Amazing food - the rendang was a nice surprise and the tamarind duck was to die for. Lovely staff who were attentive and friendly. Great venue opposite the park.

From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional, Then come the food its was all so tasty. Looking forward to going back there again soon.

Excellent service was a bonus as the food stole the show for me and my guests. Share plates were plentiful and included delicate yet flavoursome rice paper rolls, salt and pepper squid and a papaya salad that delighted all. Mains included several delicious vegetarian curries and noodles, while the meat eaters enjoyed a succulent chicken dish. Can't wait to go back.

Interesting and varied menu. Everything is really tasty and top quality. A different vietnamese eating experience. Service is good although they do get very busy on weekends.

The food is good, the service needs attention. I've been there many times. Initially it was annoying overservicing, now it's inexperienced wait staff. The owners need to employ an experienced waiter to train the staff, to make it a top restaurant.

Out third visit to Phamous Kitchen confirmed the promise of the previous two. Innovative entrees and spectacular renditions of more traditional Vietnamese and Asian fare. Reasonably priced wine list and excellent service. We'll be back!

Brilliant food. Good service. Vietnamese taken to the next level. We selected dishes and the Chicken Maryland with Black Vinegar was the stand out (wings good also). The Duck with Tamarind pretty stunning also. One of the group had a Pho and the stock was excellent (as you'd expect). Will definitely be back!
