“Positano in Hallam is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive from the moment you walk in. Waited 30mins after being seated to have to then ask for a drink, waited 1hr for our meal and my husband only received his and mine then arrived another 20mins after his. Then to go and pay and be charged a 10% surcharge and not even be asked if we enjoyed our meal. $140 later for an average pizza and an eye fillet that was luke warm.. Not a nice valentines dinner at all and will never go back.

Only thing that brought it down, for me was that the steak was medium but I’d ordered it medium rare, the cut itself was a bit gamey and fatty. Apart front k that everything else was amazing

A wonderful restaurant, the food was amazing and the atmosphere perfect. Friendly staff, a varied and delicious menu and the perfect place for a family dinner. Everyone in our group of 10 raved about their meals and the booking process was smooth. Highly recommend coming here, truly was an exceptional restaurant :)

We don’t often eat out and it’s been a while since we have been to Positano’s but their food and service is just as good as ever.

Food and service are always amazing every time we go

The music was a bit loud and just generic pop/rock, I would prefer are quieter mood music as it aids being able to chat with others, maybe a light jazz. Staff is lovely food is always excellent. A little pricey but delicious. I have been going for 18 years, don't plan to stop anytime soon!

Food was excellent as always, but service tonight was not as good as it normally is. Our bill was put on the table before we had been asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Meals came out promptly. It was just the table service that let the experience down.

Food was amazing, friendly staff. Was very cold in the restaurant and music was a little loud.

Meal was wonderful. We will be going back for special occasions.

Lamb chops were dry Last visit here the same dish was fabulous Waiter was lovely and very pleasant but in our face a bit too often Risotto was good Salmon was too dry and overcooked

Excellent food and service. Waiter realised our cosy little table for two was about to be swamped by a big family with lots of children so offered us an alternative seating arrangement if we preferred.

Service polite, attentive and professional. Menu had a good range of options and meals were presented well, some of the pasta options were housemade (ie - gnocchi - exceptional). Food and drinks (especjally$ were overpriced - even for today’s standard.
