One of the restaurant I will recommend for the food and drinks..

the place is clean and pleasant, not as noisy as other Chinese restaurants . Food is reasonable but more expensive than others. service is good

good ambience , good service and good food, we had yum cha for lunch

I went there based on a friend's recommendation. I think the food was quite tasty.

We found the banquet we ordered rushed, and this was noticed by all at our table, as if the staff wanted to get home. The food itself was really good albeit pricey. The staff initially were friendly but as time went by they lost the sparkle.

We've been coming to the Red Emperor since it opened at Southgate in 1992. Whoever visits us we take them there. Nothing is ever a problem. One of our guests was allergic to shellfish and they were happy to swap a bowl of special fried rice for boiled. After one round of drinks they know what every one is having. The service is amazing and a double thank you to Fiona who was such a star on Monday night!

Good taste food . Not cheap but worth to try. Will visit again.

we brought visitors from QLD with us. we were delighted that this most recent experience was as lovely as our previous visits. The Red Emporer is definitely.our Go-To Chinese restaurant when we visit Melbourne, & I think my husband would prefer to just skip any other restaurant regardless! :)

This place always goes above and beyond especially with my gluten free options and the staff are so friendly and welcome. Food is absolutely fresh. Won't dine anywhere else when it comes to asian

Red Emperor is always my go to for Yum Cha. I have been coming here for many years when I visit Melbourne. Today I visited with a friend who is in a mobility scooter. The staff went out of their way to make sure she was looked after. Very respectful and helpful, thank you

Out table of 8 friends had yum cha with a couple of requested dishes. All was wonderful

Fantastic YUM CHA , doors opened right at 11am we were seated right away and within 5 mins the first trolley was out . The yum cha was so delicious, the dumplings were packed full of meat and flavor. We all commented at how good it was and how packed the dumplings were. Will definitely make this our new go to Yum Cha place.

Delicious hot piping steamed dim sum dishes are served on traditional trolley style service. The cheung fun noodles with prawns are fresh and delicious as good as a prawn dumplings.

Was okay, the staff was friendly but not much variety of dimsims from the cart and very slow had to wait ages for a noodle dish which the waiter forgot and had to ask again. Desert trolley came once and never again. We did go at 1pm but still an okay experience. And a little pricey
