Food is awesome, it's a great place. It's fresh, authentic italian ... which we loved. Sitting outside, was nice ... but lots of kids running around.

A little gem tucked away in Brookvale. It has atmosphere and the food is great. The arancini, meatballs are divine. Next time we will try the HUGE pizzas

It was our 11th anniversary dinner, so we wanted it to be good; in the most casual and comfortable possible way. And, for the most part, it certainly was. The small plate of green and black olives that arrive unbidden is always a good start, whetting the appetite for more strong flavours. We shared the special entree, which was, essentially, when all the poetic menu licence is stripped away, the Italian equivalent of deep-fried camembert; which, in my book, has never proved one of the greatest culinary masterpieces. It was rustic and undeniably, indulgently palatable: the buffalo mozzarella every bit as melting as it ought to be. But the accompanying salsa didn't seem to be fresh, its dark secret betrayed by a dull colour. Having said that, there was nothing wrong with it, just that it lacked the acidic zing of tomatoes and balsamic, one might expect; the unctuous richness of good oil was also absent and the basil, which I'm sure was present, lacked pungency and punch, too. A bit of a letdown; not really worthy of what followed, which was an excellent homemade pumpkin-ricotta ravioli, with a well-judged cream sauce: none too cloying. The mushroom risotto was also first-class, in the best, authentic, homecooked sense. A simple rocket & pear salad could hardly fail; the garlic pizza pretty damn good also. But like the entree, dessert (a welcome complimentary gesture, in honour of our occasion) of tiramisu didn't get over the line: it, too, seemed as if It might've been store a little too long; thought you'd think a few days in the fridge would improve such a dish. The usual suspects, flavour wise were recessed. In truth, it seemed somehow watery. And was it mascarpone? Or cream. Whichever, it definitely didn't need the flourish of commercial chocolate sauce that 'graced' the dusting of cocoa. Enrico, the co-owner is tautly professional and the waitress (we've had her before) little short of worldclass, but the young man lacks enthusiasm, common sense and competence.

Amazing. We love this place. Fantastic food and brilliant with or without kids. The pasta is home made and the pizza tastes like you are in italy

For this type of restaurant it is one of the best. Food is good, service is good and it is very comfortable. The tables are not crammed in, sitting outside is best as the noise levels are kept to a level you can have a comforatable conversation without having to shout. One of our regular haunts and a favourite.

Food was tasty well presented the staff were accomadating pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Ages from 6 to 70 and all 16 diners enjoyed every morsel. Will go back again and again.

The place was buzzing. Even being so busy, the service was outstanding, the menu had a lot to offer, the food was great and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. Definitely coming back!

Delicious! About time a good wood fired pizza place opened up around here. Great service. They were happy to assure me there was no peanuts on premises for my allergic child. Definitely will go again. Remember to BYO as unlicensed. Bon appetite

our Second visit was nowhere near as great as first time . Very busy, noisy and long waits for even the menu. Food was not as good this time . Probably won’t go on a sat evening again. Our first time was brilliant. Maybe just a bad night.

Great authentic Italian food and vibe. Excellent value as well!! We went on a very busy Saturday night, I had read a few negative reviews about the time taken to be served, we got our pizza in 15 minutes.

Sale Pepe is an amazing hidden gem. We keen going back for the great food, quirky atmosphere and friendly service! It's great value too. Our favourite family restaurant.

We waited for more than 25 minutes to get a glass of wine; at least 40 minutes to be attended and order. Pizza came cold!!!

Lovely cosy restaurant. Great service and great food. The zucchini fritters were very tasty and my pasta was made vegetarian without a fuss. Definitely would return for another dinner.

We were a group of 14 and they were very accommodating. The food was nice, the pasta dishes were delicious! It was a great lunch.

Authentic homemade Italian. We had a mixture of entrees, pasta & pizza and all were excellent. Will be back!! Location is in the industrial estate but plenty of parking.

There was only one waitress on, service was slow. We weren't asked at all if we wanted a drink throughout the evening. She came to clear our deserts from the table but she hadn't brought them to us yet, service was very slow. Food however, is great! Will be back. But with expectations of slow service.

Great pizza as always. Cozy on a cold winter night after the cinema. Delicious tiramisu has to be tried even if you're stuffed. Note to remember to bring enough water glasses to the table but that's it.

Food and service were excellent! will definitely go again. Definitely recommend the specials. Lots of pizzas to choose from. Price was amazing too. BYO is also very welcome.

Great Pizza. Hard to beat on the beaches. Staff attentive and byo a bonus. Surprised to have a corkage charge when there is no licence to serve alcohol, but it is only a small amount. Not our first visit and won't be our last.

Friday night visit to catch up with friends. go after 8pm, don't go at 6.30pm - too many kids running around, and very noisy inside. Food pretty good, although received entree after 2 of 3 mains were brought to the table. Next time i would request table outside under the heater, even though there were kids outside as well. would visit this restaurant again, although might pick my night and time better.

The best authentic southern Italian restaurant on the northern beaches, lovely staff they make you feel like you are in Italy! Great service and a delicious menu, couldn't of picked a better restaurant!

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff, good food but they have to do something about the queues picking up take away! We felt "mobbed" by so many people waiting for their orders. Perhaps a "hot box" outside the restaurant proper? Won't be back on a Friday until things change.

Atmosphere is fantastic and so looked forward to our authentic Italian food however it disappointed and 5 out of 6 on my table thought their pasta dish was pretty average, one even just ate hers to be polite. We decided to try again another time and have pizza instead.

A neighbourhood gem, like stepping into another world. The food is delicious, service great, athecplace buzzes. Just how I remember Italy. Definitely will go back for the pasta next time.

Great food and fun setting. Husband's gnocchi was a bit cold but the pizza was fantastic, as was the meatball entrée. Busy on a Saturday night so make sure you book. We will be back.

Pizzas have a nice base but very little cheese and not a lot of flavour. Pasta was chewy and the sautéed veggies in it were chewy as well. The pasta sauce was nice though.

A very enjoyable meal. Fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. The place was busy but food still arrived in a timely manner. Like I always say, give the people good food at a good price and they will keep coming back.

The Seles pizza team where amazing with our kids. Got them helping making pizza pasta. Fantastic for families and great food. Unusual location actually really works.

The pizza is great. Service still needs work as had to remind our waitress about our drinks after starters. Also one of the pizzas was the wrong one but we let that slide. It was very noisy that evening too. Remember they do not sell alcohol so bring your own wine or beer.

The food was great but the service was a little slow. i.e. took a while to get water at the table and other people seemed to be getting served before us. Anyways all in all it was a nice food experience.
