Salt Meats Cheese - Cronulla

Absolutely terrible experience in terms of food, drinks and service. The ambience wasn't too bad though, but they really need to get rid of some useless waiters/waitresses on the floor and most importantly- really get someone qualified behind the bar. The blue swimmer crab pasta was an absolute let down and it very much looked like a seafood soup.

We could not fault any part of our experience at Salt Meats Cheese tonight. The food & service were exceptionally good & we will definitely go there again soon.

Trout Salad was wonderful for lunch . One of our guests commented that there was not enough variety in meals offered and he would have liked to see steak on the menu

Great food, service and ambiance. Lots of choices from the menu and a great drinks list. Our server was very friendly and the interior of the restaurant is stunning!

Fantastic atmosphere, food is delicious and service first class thanks had a great night we will be back soon to try more of the yummy food

Service was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and professional. My husband thought his risotto to be a bit too rich and heavy, but everything else was really nice. I had the trout salad. The red cabbage could have been a bit finer because it was a bit messy to eat with a fork with its long strands. The truffle chips were nice. Next time we'll try the pizza which looked great. I've been going to Salt Meats Cheese for years, and used to make special trips to Alexandria just to buy groceries and the chilli oil! Very happy to have you in Cronulla.

Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous interior and atmosphere. The location is excellent and the service was absolutely lovely and the food was beautiful and we can’t wait to go again.

Food was not what we expected. Sure, Italian fare like we had can be obtained from the many Italian restaurants in Cronulla, only better. Ambiance in the place was very noisy and very hard to communicate with our guests. Will not recommend.

Beautiful restaurant but we weren't super impressed with the food. The pasta didn't taste very fresh, but had some good flavour. It also seemed that the staff were stretched thin so we didn't get a whole lot of service throughout the night. Would have loved to order a second drink but unfortunately our servers would rush off before we could ask!

Throughly enjoyed dining at salt meats new venue. Good wait staff & service was excellent. Food was delicious & will return try few different dishes.

First time visit but not last, my Porchetta was delish and the perfect proportion. The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly and professional. Looking forward to trying the Pizza next time round they looked good floating past to other diners.

Booking on line was easy. Reminder and confirmation on line was good. Some confusion around our table when we arrived but that was resolved without fuss. Food very good as was service. Staff engaged

Great service and lovely fresh food. Four of us shared zucchini flowers then different pasta dishes which were all yummy and good price. Will go back.

It's a lovely venue but quite noisy. The food was a little hit and miss. We started with a pizza to share which had a crispy crust and not too much topping, a good start to the evening. For mains, the gnocchi was the best meal out of those we ordered. The gnocchi was light and fluffy and the sauce was exactly right. The risotto was very good, the rice was cooked perfectly and the truffle was subtle. Then things went downhill a little. One of us had the pork belly which was "OK" and the other meal ordered was the rigatoni ragu. The ragu sauce was disappointing, it was quite bland and didn't seem to have been cooked for long enough to let the flavours develop. It's a popular place, a full house on a Wednesday night.

Was a great experience.Service was great and food was fantastic.We arrived early and asked if we could change our reservation and they helped us with that.

Meals were quite bland or left a bitter after taste. Service was mediocre at best....had to chase someone to pay the bill to leave. Very noisy & hard to hear Won’t be rushing back.

Ticks all the essential boxes (service, food, value, atmosphere etc.) without ever reaching great heights. Tables a bit small for 2 people, too much clutter when the food arrives. Kitchen noise a bit too much.

Great vibes, amazing pizza and very friendly staff! Will definitely be back for more! I’ve got my eye on their delicious Nutella pizza ! :)

A great lunch. The food was very good, particularly the beef rigatoni. Staff were courteous however some staff appeared to be still on a learning curve.

Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff and fabulous food. Will be back again and highly recommend to family and friends. Especially good for those on a gluten free diet
