Sedap Place restaurant

Service was poor. Our group had just settled down & were chatting the waiter came & asked us if we were ordering - we siad give us 5 mins we havn't looked at the menu properly yet - asked him to get water (didnt get it) In 5 more mins the waitress came & said the kitchen was closing in 5 mins (it wasn't even 8pm) Obviously we were upset - had to quickly give off the order. We ordered 5 gravies / meats & 4 serves of roti & drinks.... she said roti will take 25 mins.... I said thats ok .... but make sure we want the roti with the other food & she acted as if that was not possible - I had to tell her 3 times to make sure that happened anyway the rotis finally did come within 5 -7 mins of the other food coming out - so that was ok . Halfway through dinner I had to again remind then that we had not got any water yet - then she got it ... Food was ok .... rendang, roti & noodles were nice... but the fried chicken was hard & stringy as if it had been refried to heat it up. Halfway through my dinner when my hands were dirty she came & asked me to get up & settle the bill as they were closing the register and I needed to pay up. So I had to leave my dinner, wash my hands & go to settle the bill. I did not feel like coming back & eating again & just left my food. She ended up giving me a $10 off voucher for next time & apologising in the end. I've eaten here several times before & enjoyed it .....This time food quality & quantity has reduced & very sloppy service this time. Don't think I'll return.

Small busy place; the food is great value though, especially if you’re sharing bcoz you can try different small plates.

Disappointed that the restaurant had run out of gula melaka. Our durian cendol and 3 layer tea had to be cancelled. If you are wanting curry laksa, just go for the Volcano from the traditional serve. $5 more and you get a good serve of curry chicken, 3 prawns and a full egg.

Came with friends for a friend's birthday. Food is nice but the place was very busy and quite noisy.

Food was excellent but service was ok- could be better.

Food was very tasty. We loved it all. Free tap water would be good though, or still water at least for sale.

Love the roti prata mamak, it's light and crispy. The char kuey teow and mee goreng are nice too.

Food was nice but unfortunately the service was slow, especially for a late Sunday afternoon. Will return and give them another try.

We waited for a very very long time before we got our food. Only the drinks came out reasonably fast. Even the order taking took some time. Also, the food was very average except for the beef rendang in the nasi lemak which was really yummy. They should give much more achar then the miserable broken up miniscule bits too.

Love the food and our waitress was prompt to our requests.

It’s been an annual thing going back for their roti festival around merdeka time. They live up to their name Delicious Place 😋

Deliciously yummy. Best Laksa in town. Generous serves and friendly staff.

Used to be my favourite places with at least 18 visits in the last two years but today was below average. Maybe the chefs have changed. Every dish, except the plain roti, three-layer tea, and coconut rice, was 4/10. Very, very disappointed. I doubt I’ll return again, unless someone drags me there.

Was a very busy night so the food did take time however was worth it and yummy. Staff were friendly and would come back again.

Had a 7.30 reservation and was a bit surprised that the restaurant closed at 9pm. Fair enough though. Just letting other customers know ahead of time.

Unfortunately service was on the slow side. When the food did come out it was great!

Love this place. On the night that we dined they were short-staffed but this was made up by the sheer enthusiasm and good humour of those serving us.The food was excellent.

Staffs are really friendly! Food are amazing. Except the satay taste a bit weird.

The food was very nice and nicely seasoned. The only downside was the time it took for the food to arrive. However, we noticed they were short staffed so that explained it.

Sedap Place never fails to impress. Food and service is consistently excellent. Our party of eight really enjoyed the roti prata and accompanying curries. Way up on our leaderboard of Perth Eateries.

The best laksa in Perth hands down. Always fast and friendly service. Just brilliant.

Food tasted great but was not very hot in temperature. Ordered a chicken Laksa, I thought there would be pieces of chicken in the Laksa but did not find any. Roti was good. Service was great

The roti not as light and flaky as I would like it to be but overall it is a pleasant place to dine in.

I had to alter my booking and the staff were very accommodating. The service was really good, and the food was yummy. Very generous portions for the price :) Nice cozy atmosphere as well :)

Sedap serves incredible food. You can not fault the flavours and price. The service how ever is terrible. Unfortunately everytime we have been to Sedap Place the service has been horrible. Such a shame as the food is delicious.

Very authentic Malay Cuisine great for lunch or dinner out.

The food was good and we all enjoyed our selections.

Great place - we were a table of four and we had the Nasi Lemak (2-3 person serve), chicken satay and roti prata. Lots of food and flavour. Will go back!
