The menu is the real kicker at any of the Shenkin spaces, and at Shenkin Kitchen in Enmore you’ll of course find all those delicious Middle Eastern classics you’ve come to expect. Keep a particular eye out for the famous Shenkin Kitchen shakshuka that has been painstakingly perfected and has been the same for over 30 years – with no chance of change. It’s loaded with veggies, herbs and spices and slow-cooked for seven hours and topped with poached eggs, and has Sydney locals flocking to Enmore to tuck into this heavenly dish.

Aside from that, you’ll also find the Israeli big breakfast that rivals smashed avo to no contest, and is packed to the rafters with avocado, labanne, smoked salmon, eggs and Middle Eastern salad. Shenkin Kitchen’s sabih and bureka is a homage to the obsession with pastries owner Arie unashamedly has – which suits us just fine mind you.
