Environment was cute (and very millennial). Service was generally prompt and attentive. Food was lovely - standouts were the crispy and fluffy banh mi bread and bo bia ngot

It has great food, service and friendly people. And it's heaven for people with coeliacs - nearly everything on the menu is gluten free. Soft shell crab is my favourite.

Consistently fresh, superb quality food. Really delicious and well-priced. Service is professional and friendly. The Shaken Beef is so addictive, as are their desserts. Why go anywhere else????

Great food, very fresh, authentic. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from quite spicy to not spicy at all. The booth style seating is lovely too, you are in your own world quite separated from other diners. Very friendly staff.

We really enjoyed it. It is a great place, with delicious food. Don't miss the eggplant starter but I don't think you could go wrong ordering anything on the menu.

Parking is non-existent, so you'll need to have one person run in to get it while the other drives around the block, but it's worth the hassle, so i always pass by this place and everyone i ask say its "just okay" so it was place i always wanted to eat but always on the back burner. So i finally went it and was immediately greeted with a genuine hello and was helped promptly. Our gang had a great time with super-fresh food that tasted organic, place was clean and they served up the treats real quick with a smile!

Pleasant atmosphere with great decor. Unfortunately my friend had to wait 15 minutes for her drink after I had already been given mine and I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for my meal after my friend had received hers (my meal arrived 40 minutes after we'd ordered). The food was underwhelming, I had ordered caramelised pork belly and received what looked like braised pork, whilst my friends sugarcane prawns looked and tasted like chicken. Was disappointing as it is a good atmosphere

The food is excellent... The service is fine but some of the waiters sometimes look frustrated when serving you. You can't ask too much from them. Overall it is still a great place to go!

Great, innovative Vietnamese food. Sales are light and tasty, betel leaf beef is especially good. Generous servings. Even the deserts are unusual and very nice And not expensive.

Uninspiring food in a clean and simple restaurant. The glass fronted kitchen let's you watch while your food is being prepared. The food lacked a lot of flavour which surprised us. We ordered a duck salad which had a rather bland and watery dressing. Our rare beef salad didn't have a lot of meat and the rice paper rolls lacked flavour. The rolls were incredibly large and seemed to be filled mainly with Vermicelli noodles. Smaller rolls with less noodles and more filling would had improved our rating.

Excellent service and range of food! Decor is also exceptional. We had the pork/prawn salad, lemon grass beef rolls, combination pho and the clay pot ling. Good amount of food between two people. Refined flavours, only slightly more expensive than places like cabramatta but much more convenient location and better overall food experience.

The food was delicious, good service, and they were very accommodating in relation to dietary requirements (we ordered vegan dishes). Very nice ambiance. Parking can sometimes be a problem but was good on a Friday night

Had a fantastic night at So9. The food was terrific. Beautiful flavours and very fresh. And the lady Maitre'D was fantastic. Attentive, informative, gave wonderful recommendations and helped us navigate the menu. Will definitely be back.

The place was inexpensive, and the food was great. Friendly staff, who didn't bother you. The homemade lemonade was delicious! We went for lunch, and we'll definitely be back again.

45 minutes for our all of our drinks to arrive, 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Then attempted to overcharge us. Will not be coming back.

So9 is one of my favorite modern Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney. The food is great with a good variety on offer yet not overwhelming. I had the pork belly which is sweet and juicy. A generous serve of tender pork belly with boiled egg, rice and salad.

Dinner was absolutely delicious and the restaurant had a great atmosphere and was perfect for dinner with a group of friends! The Pho deserves a special mention as does the bun and rice paper rolls! We will definitely be back!

Nice restaurant space, and the food was fine. We probably didn't order well so will have to go back. The Vietnamese pancakes were fabulous. Service was a little lack lustre.

Over priced tasteless food . Much better Vietnamese at many other places such as Marrickville and Phamish in surry hills . Won't be going back

Fantastic food in a great atmosphere. A modern take on Vietnamese food without losing any authenticity. Service was great and it was very kid friendly which was a huge plus. I've been previously for a girls night out too and it was just as great.

Delicious food, beautiful interiors and great service! It was very handy to see photos of the specials on an iPad/phone when the waitress presented them to us and they were SO good by the way! Staff were flexible with us as we had to push back our booking, and the space reserved for us was also really great as we had a booking of 9, so the private space toward the back was very much appreciated by all. Nothing to fault at SO.9 in Danks Street Alexandria. 6pm booking on a Thursday, easy parking on street (but there is the option of undercover parking in the building, 90 minutes free). Great presentation of the restaurant (they just won an international award for restaurant design). Interesting range of dishes, well sorted on the menu. Green Papaya & beef salad is a knockout, perfect little heat bite from some chilli in the sweet,sour, tangy dressing - mmmmm ! Generous serves for sharing plates, ranging from $15-22 a plate - 4 of us had either a beer (Ha Noi lager) or a boutique alcoholic Ginger Beer, we were very well satisfied for $188 for 4 of us - great value IMHO - we will definitely return !

The atmosphere is light and breezy, we had a table in a quiet area and the food was delishious. The staff were charming and helpful. We weren't rushed and the dishes were perfectly timed so we were able to savour everything. There was a large table next to us, yet spaced well so there was no noise interference. Will definitely return.

Great interior design and very tasty food, if you like it hot go for the spicy beef noodles. The salt and pepper cuttlefish was also delicious.

Very relaxed environment with good menu of delicious Vietnamese food. Service was great. For those with kids, the 5.30pm opening time for dinner is also a winner.

Great food and even better service. The duck rice paper rolls are incredible. Didn't enjoy the crispy chicken special all the mini pancake special though. Cocktails were amazing too!

We loved our dinner at So9, 4 adults and 2 kids. Great service, great space and delicious healthy food! Kids had chicken and rice which was good to have a plan option.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. Could possibly do with one more on the floor or behind the bar. Either way this restaurant is always lovely.
