Food is ALWAYS delish but service can be a little hit and miss depending who’s working
Great food and also can BYO wine.... staff couldn't do enough will eat there again
Wonderful food and service ... Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely return... the staff were very knowledgable about the menu and were attentive without being obtrusive
Great food, wonderful ambiance and friendly staff. I have been going to this restaurant for many years and can highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
Staff were friendly and attentive. We were on a time schedule that they helped us keep to. Food delicious and generous. One person required special food this was no trouble. Great evening.
incredible food, had been very busy so ran out of a few dishes which was a bit disappointing, but our second "choice" was amazing so i cant even begin to imagine what our first choice would have tasted like! great service and lovely vibe, would recommend
The service is excellent, the staff are attentive and pleasant. The meals are well present and fairly priced. It is a smallish restaurant with seating for about 40 max, I am guessing - which gives it a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our group of 6 re-visited on a busy Saturday evening. The food was flavoursome & delicious if a little uneven in some presentations. The duck tortelini was the standout dish of the evening and is well worth a visit alone! Staff was friendly and attentive.
I have eaten here on a number of occasions over the last few years, and as always, the food was exquisite, the service was great and all over it was very good value for money
Delicious, the food was so tasty. Best risotto we've ever had in a restaurant. We loved it and so did the kids. Service was fantastic too. Yum!
Overall it was a good experience. Nice staff. A little disappointed about the single portion: it is too small and there is not a big difference if you choice pasta like entree or main course (the only difference is the price. More expensive for main course without relevant portion added).
This was the first time we'd been there. We were just looking for somewhere to have a quick early dinner in Newtown. We booked for 6pm, thinking we'd be the only ones there. By 6.30pm it was almost full - no wonder, the food and service is great. We particularly liked the duck tortellini. Dinner for two with entrees, mains and a decent bottle of rose for not much more than a hundred bucks - can't argue with that. We'll be back for sure.
The special pappardelle dish was too salty. The linguine with seafood was also too salty and too saucy. The presentation of the dishes could have been more refined.
Very impressed with the chef! We had the degustation and every dish was delicious. The waitress also provided great wind recommendations. The staff were attentive and helpful even though the restaurant was very busy.
We had a really great dining experience at Soffrito's...fabulous service and delicious food. I will definitely be back there again. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I love that place! It's one of the gems in Newtown. The dinner was great! I had the Barramundi which was delicious! All matched with a glass of white wine. Great place for smaller groups or a date night out!
Soffritto Is one of those hidden gems in Newtown. We have been going there for quite a few years and have never been disappointed. The food is superb, entree of linguine al fruiti di mare, main of roasted quail stuffed with pork sausage and figs, finishing with desert of polenta cake with raisins and salted caramel. Wow! Superb meal, complimented by friendly attentive staff. Thank you so much Soffritto .... Looking forward to the next time.
love this place! Food and staff is always great! It's a very good place to have a dare night, too! Check out their pasta & wine special in winter!!!
Great, friendly service - truly welcoming. Nice atmosphere. Food was better than average, homely and reasonably priced. Will happily go back again / recommend to friends.
Warm friendly service and incredible food. A really special night. Already planning our next visit. Good communication also meant we got to our show on time.
We have been to this restaurant a number of times over the past 2-3 years. The service is always prompt and friendly, and the food quality is excellent. The service tonight wasn't as quick tonight as it has been in the past but the place was full - the staff still went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay - whilst not cheap, the food is quite good value for money - one of the best restaurants in the area - we will be back
Had dinner for my birthday with my partner and daughter. Everything we order was lovely, food and wine. Only complaint was that we were too full for desert.
Great, traditional restaurant in a great location. The owner/ chef Matt can really cook. Excellent value and a sophisticated ambience. Floor staff know their stuff, too. Highly recommended!
As always both service n food just perfectly matched!! Maybe change the menu for seasonal n regular customers but no big deal .... 10/10 👍
As always the food and wine - were great. They happily catered for my 10 year old's special request for pasta. Staff really looked after us. Thank you.
The food was superb, and we had a very entertaining and bubbly waitress that helped make the meal a special one. We'll be back for sure! The beetroot, carrot and kale salad with creamy horseradish dressing was outstanding, and the duck tortellini should be used to create world peace. Overall: Fantastic experience.
Food was delish as always!! Great mid-week specials, fresh pasta and good quality meat goes a long way! And Sarah is a delightful hostess with the mostest!!
Delicious food and fantastic service. Well worth a visit- it is a very cosy restaurant. They have some great specials- so ask about them, and as I am on their mailing list I received a free main for my birthday. I will go back again.
Great food and a very friendly waiter who was able to offer recommendations of what to order. Price is very reasonable for what feels like a more high-end dining experience.
Stunning food, great beer and wine list and excellent service in a busy chatty setting. The duck tortellini is undoubtedly a signature dish, the panna cotta was exquisite and the home style limoncello topped off an evening of fine fare
Great night! Wonderful service and amazing food. Tortellini and beef were standouts. Warm chocolate pudding so rich and gooey. Thanks to all the team, will be back
This place was so lovely! The pasta just melts in your mouth and the baked truffle ricotta was to die for. Sarah and the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the wine she recommended from Italy was great. Will definitely be back...a lot I'd say.
Loved the wait staff. Very amusing and attentive. The food was amazing. Everything we ate was awesome. The truffle salami was a winner. The atmosphere in the restaurant was intimate and rustic which we all loved. There were 6 of us and when we ordered the wine there were only two bottles of the Rose and one bottle of Moet left. We would have preferred to stay on the same wine and perhaps had another bottle of Moet ;) All-in-all everyone had a great night and walked out satisfied and happy.
Great meal .. Good sized portions , good service ...not cheap but definitely worth the expense .. We will definitely go there again . Keep up the good work .
Really friendly and efficient service. The waitress serving us was lovely. Water was always refilled for us. I had the Polenta Chips with Gorgonzola, Duck Tortellini & Garden Salad. The food was extremely tasty especially the tortellini (must try).
Food is excellent as it always is. Generous portion sizes. Staff can be a bit annoying but still worth it Will be back again soon
It was crowded but not rowdy or loud. The menu was varied, size of portions not too big, beautifully cooked and something that mattered to me was there were gluten free options. The service was also very very good. I have been there twice before and found everything to my liking and I will continue to go back again and again.
Food was quite good but service was very very slow - we had a couple of antipasto plates to share and our mains, and the whole dinner took three hours. Decided to go somewhere else for dessert.
Really enjoyed dinner, especially the spinach ricotta gnocchi. Easy The best part though was definitely the chocolate pudding! Worthwhile leaving room for despite the other nice food !
As always, a warm and cosy dining experience, with engaging and attentive wait staff. Food was delicious as always, especially my favourite, the duck tortellini.
