The best pub in Richmond! - great food, great atmosphere and great staff! Always worth a visit, whether just for a drink or for dinner

It feels like home. The atmosphere is very , relaxed and always welcoming. Wine selection and suggestions are on-point and lunch-time menu offering always offers something tasty.

Their Friday Lunch specials are fantastic, perfect for a work lunch. We will definitely be back to enjoy it again. Across the table we had Steak, Steak Sandwich, the Chicken and the Salad. Zero Compliants.

Great afternoon with good food, cold beer and fun trivia. Staff were great and we moved outside after the trivia to continue socialising. Will be back

The food & service was great, we were sitting close to a door that lead outside and could constantly smell cigarette smoke. Last time we dined here we were upstairs which was a much more pleasant experience.

The food was excellent, the wine was delicious. We had the 'Tuesday Italian Special', which was an Italian main and a glass of wine for $20. It was great value for money. The service was quite good, although there was one waitress who seemed to mix up our orders, and also gave us incorrect information on the wine. Otherwise, it was a wonderful dining experience.

Great Sunday pub dinner with friends. $16 Parma can’t go wrong. Keep coming back!

We enjoyed the Sunday afternoon trivia and the food was great too. Would have given them a 6 but the loos were not as clean as they should be.

This was a great place to meet up with South Australian friends when they were visiting Melbourne. The great location (ie near trams) made it easy for them to find it and the food and atmosphere was very good.

Friendly atmosphere. Ordered a scotch fillet steak to be ‘medium’ cooked but came out on the well done side. Tasty though. Generous servings of side salad and beer battered chips. My partner enjoyed the fish of the day - a pan fried barramundi.

Exceptional staff. Always accommodating and friendly. Went on the renowned steak night and was not disappointed. Ticks all the boxes and I highly recommend this place

We went for Sunday lunch just wanting that pub feel and was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and that atmosphere very nice. Later in the afternoon a quiz took place which we participated in and was enjoyable.

Was quite good - good pub fare. The burger was really good. Friendly service and two dining areas - one down in the main pub area and one quieter area upstairs. Would go back.

Love steak night. They have an amazing steak night on Wednesday and the atmosphere is fantastic. Very friendly staff and always have a great time.

Great food and service. Not too busy on Sunday night, so easy to have a conversation. Some nights the hotel is very busy and the dining room is part of the main bar so quite noisy.

The atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting. Service very good and our meal - the Wednesday night Steak special was very good value and quality.

Great to be at the Spread Eagle in the lead up to Richmond's appearance at the AFL Grand Final. We enjoyed our meal and the good atmosphere.

Food was ok however owing to smoke that kept coming in through the door from outside, I had very bad asthma and for that reason I would never go back. We now have laws to protect people with asthma and from smoke near restaurants. However this pub seems to have bypassed it and doesn't really care much about the patrons. For this reason I wouldn't return. However if you don't mind a lot of smoke and a lot of noise and the inability to hear your own voice then you might enjoy this evening.

Wednesday steak night is consistently good. Great service and atmosphere. Book in advance to secure a table as it's a popular spot. Well done Elly and the team (as always). Got a little special treatment as it was my birthday!

We had the $18 steak night and it was fantastic value for money! Despite the appearance from the outside, inside the pub is well laid out so you don't feel like you're sat on top of other people. The food was delicious, I'll definitely be back again.

The food was fantastic, the service was great but the cigarette smoke in the room made dining almost unbearable. Although nobody was smoking in the room the smoke wafted in every time someone went out the back.

The Spready is a great place for Food, great drinks on Friday nights the music is very good, you can even watch the footy. Nice open fire on a chilly night. Booking for lunch or dinner, highly recommend.

We had a pleasant, enjoyable experience at the Spread Eagle. The food was presented beautifully, without waiting too long. The place had a very nice ambience, a warming open fireplace and a comfortable number of people not overcrowding the dining area. We really enjoyed the food and together with drinks were pleasantly surprised with the final tab. Service was polite and typical of a pub experience.
