Eye fillet steaks were delicious but you need to order one temperature above how you like your steak cooked as they undercook their steaks consistently

Ordered medium rare and medium Eye fillet steaks. Both were under but we’re not too picky about the degree our steak is cooked so still quite delicious. Just something to be aware of when ordering here. Sticky date pudding dessert one of the best in Melbourne!

The steaks were as good as ever, but the service was slow and they seemed to lose our order.

The steak was absolutely amazing - sooooo tender and cooked perfectly although, if I had have started eating the steak from the other end, it would have been over-cooked. There was only a very small part that was like that though. Overall, the food was amazing. The restaurant wasn't busy but they still seated us (a couple) beside a family table of 4, not great placement. When we paid, using my eftpos card so my money, we were charged a surcharge. I really hate this! If everyone is charged approximately 1.6% then I think the restaurant is making some pretty easy money. Overall, a really lovely dinner and I would go back.

Poor service. Ignored most of the meal. Food was mediocre. Entree of ribs and mushrooms presented like and tasted like a home cooks effort. Not chef quality. Main course steaks were cooked well except 1 steak expected medium rare but served near blue. Sides where cold and sauces where over salted and fluffy.

Nice experience - great sourdough bread to start. Steaks nice but rib eye cut was a little fatty this time. Needed to cut a lot out. Would order eye fillet or another cut next time. Best sticky date pudding dessert!

A little noisy but that was more to do with a really raucous group rather than the venue itself.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and the food was exactly delicious. We asked for medium rare and that’s what we got. Squires Loft was recommended by colleagues of mine and I would recommend them as well. We were at the Williamstown location.

Gorgeous spot for food, best steak in town. Squires baste is the only sauce to get!!

Quite disappointed on our last visit. Have been regulars for a while. Ribs were very dry and over cooked, service was non existent. Did not receive bread at table, required to ask for table water, sat for over 20 minutes after eating without plates being cleared and left without any offer of desert or coffee. Mentioned our dissatisfaction to front of house and were told they were short of staff. Had read many reviews and it doesn’t seem to be an isolated issue lately. Very poorly run restaurant.

The food was good. The only complaint we had was that the mains came out while we were finishing the entrees. Service was a little slow initially but it got better as the night went on. We will definitely go back again.

We were seated straight away and they wanted to take a drinks and food order almost instantly- not getting any time to review the menus. We asked for a minute to view the menu then waited ages for them to come back to take the order. I had to get someone’s attention. Food was really good. Very happy with the mains. Then after that tumbleweeds. No offer of a dessert to the point we thought they didn’t do them. I had not had a starter as wanted desert. No offer of coffee or any more drinks. We got past the point of deserts so when we did get the attention of someone we asked for the bill. We figured we had to pay at the exit. On the way out we saw some desserts being served. :( I’d eat there again but would like the restaurant to address their service skills.

Thoroughly enjoyed night out with the family at SL. Service was wonderful, cannot fault it. Meals were delicious. Atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

I have visited Squires Loft many many times but never in WIliamstown. We won't be back

My partner and I had a lovely dinner, service was good, atmosphere always good at this location.

Got someone else's order but was all rectified and the food was excellent.
