Subiaco Bar & Bistro

The food was of a poor standard. The steak in our steak sandwich was overcooked (we ordered medium rare and it came well done). The meat was chewy, and full of gristle and fat, making it inedible. We were kept waiting for this food for about forty minutes, and we had informed the restaurant that we were going to a show at a nearby theatre and needed our food promptly. There seemed to be few staff on duty. Two wait staff, and presumably only one or maybe two in the kitchen. For a Saturday night with a reasonable number of people in the restaurant, this seemed totally inadequate. .Other people who also ordered steak sandwiches before us didn’t even get their food in time to eat it before the show, and they were given containers to take it away. The wait staff, however, were very pleasant and we received a refund for the food after we had voiced our complaint. Quality of the food and the management of the place need to improve dramatically. We will not go there again.

Didn’t cook steak as requested, one meal came out and was finished before other three meals came out. Service was terrible.

We felt sorry for the young girl behind the bar. She clearly needed support for the amount of customers that were in the venue. After 40 mins we had to ask where our meal was as we were on time limit . When it did arrive it was delicious.

Love this venue. I invited 16 friends for dinner, drinks and laughs. Love our waiter Goran.

Only 1 staff member working on both the cash register and serving food and drinks. Waited 45 minutes for a half burnt burger.

They did not have items that were on the menu ready… no garlic bread available, no aranchini balls as the chef was making them and apparently wouldn’t be ready for 2 hrs, even though most people there that night had an event at the regal to go to….. burger just fell apart the minute you picked it up….so disappointed.

The staff were super friendly and really accommodating. The menu was limited, but our burgers were tasty and good value.

Went to listen to some live music and have dinner both were really good, just don’t order Dark n stormy drink . 😉

The restaurant was not overly busy but it took forever to get our food. We waited at least 45 minutes. The food was average. Cocktail was nice though. And staff friendly.

Waited 45 minutes for chicken wings and burgers, even though the restaurant was quiet with only a few other customers. Unfortunately, the food was quite average and didn’t make up for the long wait. Disappointing experience overall, and I wouldn’t return.

Staff were super friendly and efficient. Was a lovely evening before the theatre.

We ordered Fish and Chicken tacos which were vert good and we also had there garlic bread which was amazing

A group of my eight friends who did not know each other Venue suitable for our needs. A quiet room in one side. Waiter Eager to please. Food lovely. Thanks so much for having us. I have rebooked for late August.

Poor staff, only one person on during happy hour and over 10 people waiting to be served. Happy hour was decent , food not so much

As there was only 1 poor girl serving everyone for drinks and delivering their food I felt very sorry for her. She did amazing under the circumstances. We went for dinner on the 19th July. I feel there should be more staff on but the food was awesome.

Typical pub food. Good atmosphere. Good service. Very quiet while we’re there for lunch which is what we wanted.
