Tao Dumplings - Camberwell

We booked ahead so no waiting time. Dumplings here are in the best that we have tried in Melbourne. Noodle dish was yummy as well. All we need are custard buns on the menu and it would be 10 / 10. Alsop nice to see the workers through the window preparing the dumplings fresh. Well done Tao!!

A very good and economical family restaurant excellent food and service.

I went for the fried ice-cream as there aren’t many places here that do it and do it well. The service was ok (4 on a table and one menu, I had to ask for another three). Food wasn’t bad, no lattes or coffees to have at the end of the night.

We had a great time, food and service were terrific. Very well priced food and delicious too!

We came in before our booking time, which was the last spot of the evening and the staff were obviously tired. The wait staff were really unhappy and quite rude whilst waiting for our order. Apart from that the food is always good and well priced. It was really very noisy!

Great dumpling restaurant that is super popular. Unless you’re after takeaway, booking is a must! Especially in the weekend. Prices are very reasonable, fast and delicious. Highlight: Lamb and Beef dumplings. Amazing!

Food great, service terrible. The staff (all females) appeared to deliberately ignore diners requests for service. They never looked over the room to see if anyone needed their assistance, we had to stand up and nearly do a jig to get their attention. The head girl was very involved with a conversation with a friend (not staff) and did not raise her head from this extremely long conversation. The only time we got attention was when we were leaving and all of a sudden there were three of them to clean our table. Pick up you act girls. Tao is a great place to visit but no one wants the stress of bad service.
