Clearly one of Brisbane's premier restaurants! A fresh, delicious and very comfortable dining experience, with friendly service and a great atmosphere (the open verandah is the best).

I had the seafood platter for 2. The Crab was grainy so it was either over cooked or it had been frozen. The salt and pepper calamari was a too salty. The rest wasn't anything special so it was over priced. Also no Australian Pinot Noir, only one on the list and not available. Every time a staff member walked past we were asked how the food was even less than a minute after it was put down, at least 5 times during the meal so it was a bit much. Nice location but overall experience was underwhelming.

Great food, great service, great ambience, child friendly, good value and decent portion. Definitely come back when we are in town. Overall, great dinning experience.

Very relaxed atmosphere, unobtrusive service & excellent table, but the fish was quite disappointing as it appeared overcooked - a bit dry & a tad rubbery. And the chips were only average. Alternatively it may have been frozen rather than fresh - which for a restaurant with "Morgans" reputation I find strange.

Food was great, under staffed and slow service for drinks. This is second visit and the same happened on both occasions. We had entree and mains on both times.

The food was amazing and worth it but the service was very slow and they forgot to cook our mains and took 15mins to ask us for our first drink order

Food was excellent...service left a lot to be desired. Only offered drinks once, had to ask for finger bowls for the people eating fresh seafood.

Celebrated my birthday at Tempest and the food was amazing. Beautifully cooked seafood and very well presented too. My husband's pork dish had the best crackling I've had in a long time. Definitely will go back there again!

The pianist was lovely. The food was nice however not quite up to my expectations and I would love to see some greenery to give the dining area a warm atmosphere. The staff were very good , friendly and efficient.

Excellent food but the waitress was a little unfriendly when I mentioned that the meal I had was too salty. Overall a beautiful evening with beautiful food and a view. Would still go back.

Food was delicious, Staff ok, Nice Frozen Daiquiri's but the atmosphere wasn't great. There was only 5 tables full when we arrived. All of the blinds were pulled down so you couldn't see the water/boats and there was no music.

The restaurant was lovely, the food very tasty, and service very good. Our only issue was that it seemed as though they didn't have our reservation. They checked for our name, and didn't seem to locate it and asked if we had booked on line, which we had. They sat us quickly, on the deck as we had requested, so it turned out well, but initially we weren't sure they knew we were coming. A bit confusing, but, as I said, all went well. We'll definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.

We went with a group of 18 people the food was excellent, and served quickly for such a large group. However the table service could have better.

We had a lovely meal. The food was delicious, presentation was of a high standard and less expensive than I anticipated. Staff were polite and excellent in their various roles. The reataurant setting right at the marina added to the relaxed atmosphere.

Second time I have been here and our return visit was highly anticipated after thoroughly enjoying our first. Again, the service and staff were lovely and helpful with wine selections etc. We ordered cocktails this time and they were excellent. On the downside, on both visits they forgot one of our dishes. Once we notified them, they bought the missing dishes quickly and didn't charge us, but a little frustrating none-the-less. The quality of food on our first visit was significantly better, to the point where we asked if they had a new chef between visits, and were told yes, they had. Because they were SO good the first visit, we ordered similar meals both times. The Pork Belly entrée was much smaller and the sauce (a standout feature the first time) was not quite as good or plentiful. However the pork belly itself was divine, with excellent crackling. The Beef and Bugs is a skewer of beef, this time the beef cubes were much smaller and different sizes, some just little rag-ends, so they differed in texture and done-ness. Still very tasty and tender, but most pieces were far too cooked for our liking. The bugs were perfect and plentiful, but again far less sauce than previously. Lastly swapping out the Pavlova for Eton Mess should have been a good move but the Mess was a little boring and the strawberries were very old looking. Don't let this review put you off going, Tempest is still one of the few quality restaurants on the Peninsular; I just hope that these comments may provide constructive feedback for what was again mostly a lovely night. We will definitely go back and try again, perhaps to the Tepinyaki side next time.

We have been a few times always a relaxed atmosphere. Service is usually pretty ok. Meals are presented very nice, but on occasions were not cooked well. Under cooked batter on calamari and over cooked tuna. The cocktails are great!

Entree of scallops and dessert trio were good but mains were cold when served. Tuna was dry and quite tasteless. Staff were very attentive and pleasant.

The caramelised scallops were not caramelised but merely kissed the frypan on the way to the table. The pork was VERY fatty. Maybe 1/3 of it was edible if that. No hand rinse bowl was provided with the cold platter. The bug was extremely small. Oysters were good but Kirkpatrick sauce was not. Service was not bad but we were left standing at the counter to pay whilst the barman made cocktails for other patrons. No-one asked us how our meal was. Very disappointed!

I think the lesson was to not go to a seafood restaurant and order steak... Very tough. Area is vero noisey due to the adjacent restaurant. Seafood meals were good but cold.

Had lunch at the restaurant on a Saturday. Food and service was pleasant but there was no "wow" factor. We were unnecessarily seated in front of the outdoor bar area which gave us little privacy and subjected us to the noise of cocktail blenders etc. Would go back but would request alternative seating.

We got the seafood platter. everything besides the salmon and the sushi was nice. The rice on the sushi was gluggy and gelatinous and the salmon was very dry and way over cooked. Other that that the remaining of the food was perfect, the service was great and snappy.

There's much to adore about Tempest, although dessert isn't their strong suit. Fortunately for me, it's not mine either. The pork belly is nothing short of delightful and the salmon is superb. I'm not really into seafood but the seafood platters being delivered to other tables look really tempting. One day...

Food was great , the service was initially rushed to get an order in . Dinner was booked for 7:00 pm so their should be no need for a rush . We were then reminded they were closing up very soon , around 10:00 pm , on a Saturday night .......

A beautiful setting on a beautiful day. The food was of an excellent quality but my Catch of The Day grilled fish fillet but microscopic. I saw several other basic fish and chips come out to customers and I felt duped as I paid a lot more for my dish. My husbands Barra and Mussels was excellent. The dessert was obviously left in the kitchen and appeared 15 - 20 min later so the ice cream was melted and therefore the pastry was soft and it was just a mess and difficult to eat. It was my husband's birthday and his meal was A1 thanks goodness.

We like trying new restaurants and on this particular evening were celebrating a personal occasion, but were left very dissappointed. As a seafood restaurant you would think the emphasis would be on the seafood, but instead the seafood is hidden in and amongst the vegetables and plate dressing. Dishes are over sold and portion sizes don't reflect the prices. As if this isn't bad enough, some staff members lack appropriate etiquette. It has to be said however that the food was tasty, our waitress was delightful and the ambience pleasant.
