Tempest Seafood Restaurant

Meals were excellent, fresh and , very tasty. The service was a bit slow but friendly. Biggest let down atmosphere , it was lacking. Could have had at least some nice music being played. I would go back just for the food thou.

Very good food, however we had a glitch with food coming out that was not hot, however the manager then offered the table a bottle of wine as a peace offering, which was warmly welcomed. Great staff and service.Will be back

Banoffi pie dessert wasn't great but the rest of the meal was lovely. Great service from the friendly staff and a lovely restaurant environment too.

We had Seafood platter and it was just ok. Don't think it Not worth the value. Will just go Gold Coast for the seafood buffet.

The service and ambience were lovely. We had the Seafood platter for two, and were disappointed with half of the food. The bugs had been frozen and were tasteless. We prefer oysters natural, so the cooked ones were not to our liking at all. Afterwards, the waitress said we could have asked for all natural - pity we didn't know that in the first place. Calamari must have been cheap, as there was an oversupply of that, and it was too much batter that hadnt been well cooked, although the calamari itself was cooked. The fish was very chewy, probably due to it being Jew fish - not to my liking. The chips and fresh prawns were outstanding. We had been given a voucher from our family to use at the restaurant, and as we live at Morningside, we decided to use it all at once for our wedding anniversary. I wish now, we had just had something out of the a la carte menu, I feel those dishes might have been more to our liking. I do now think platters are very overrated.

great food, attentive and cheerful staff, a bit smelly from the seaweed. but its lovely sitting outside looking at the boats. will definitely go again

We had a great time, good service & fantastic food. I had the oyster kilpatrick to start off with. WOW best I ever had. Can't wait until next time we go.

Great staff and excellent seafood. Most enjoyable dinner with outlook of the harbour and trawlers. Location a little hard to find on a map, Scarborough not Redcliffe, but my GPS picked up the street name OK.

Was craving Lobster Mornay as it had been years since my last feast. Wasnt disappointed. It was delicious along with the steamed greens. Yum can still taste it! Had to wait a little while but Tempest treated my son and I to a free dessert to make up for the wait.

Great location. Food was excellent. So fresh. We had the Scarborough platter for two which seems a little over priced. The presentation was excellent, admittingly there was a lot of seafood and it was yum. Service also excellent.

The service was friendly and efficient even though the staff were very busy on the night. The food was well presented and full of flavour. I would have given a maximum rating of 6 except for the fact my pasta was not hot when it came to the table just barely warm. However the freshness of the seafood made up for this. The atmosphere is relaxing looking over the marina and the tables are well positioned. Overall an enjoyable night and I look forward to trying a seafood platter next visit as they looked amazing.

My partner and I went to the Tempest Seafood Restaurant for his birthday. We were completely happy with the experience: good food that was cooked perfectly, and prompt, friendly service.

The staff were exceptional. The food very nice - however the mudcrab didnt have much meat in it. Beautifully cooked though. A lovely night out.

Lovely place to relax and eat such beautiful views, the main meal excellent presentation the desserts need to improve in size and quality and presentation .

Rice came out in a hard lump that couldn't be broken up New take on oyster Kilpatrick was a fail and should be told it's not actually Kilpatrick when ordering Service great Seafood otherwise lovely

Great food, but a rushed service for a Friday night. We felt like we were being hurried out of the restaurant. They locked the doors behind us at 8.40pm. For that expense we will not be going back.

They never got back to me so we went some where else for our anniversary dinner. Was very dissapointed as we wanted to do something different to celebrate 7 years together.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the Wait Staff, and seated by the water on the deck. Lovely cool breeze. We were served chilled water, once we settled down. This was a birthday lunch for my mother, and two other friends of the family. Mother was 86 and her friend is 93, so attention by the staff was excellent. We had a hard time choosing from the menu as there is so many lovely meals to chose from. Our drinks arrived, and the food order was taken. Mother had Steamed fish, her friend had fish and chips, and we had Steak and Bugs. Only waited 15 to 20 mins for the meal to be served. ALL Meals excellent in presentation, and taste. Desert was sorbet and melon, (the chef wrote in chocolate Happy Birthday on the plate) and Homemade waffles, with butterscotch sauce with ice-cream. Just perfect, and a Wonderful time had by all! My Sister and Husband and family will be out from Scotland soon, and we will be returning to try other beautiful food from the Menu.

Great venue with beautiful views of the marina and water. The fresh seafood was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable .

We went here for my husband's birthday lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. My husband loves his seafood and had the local platter. He was not disappointed. I am vegetarian and asked for the entree to be served as a main with a salad. This was not a problem and was also very tasty. I would certainly recommend and we look forward to returning.

Food was over priced for the money. Seafood small in size and tasteless. Take a lot to get me back there. Service was only thing good about the whole evening

Located next to Morgans and overlooking the harbour, the seafood should be fresh and tasty and it was. Meals and wines are reasonably priced with 2 courses and wine for four people coming in under $250. The servings while tasty would need better presentation to take make it 'fine dining'. All in all good food at a reasonable price.

Great menu. Superb ambience, best location for a seafood restaurant in Brisbane. Really enjoyed the change from Morgan's . Seafood is always fresh and delicious .

Service very good. Bruschetta - sand crab version a little disappointing as the sand crab was coupled with fennel which overpowered the subtle crab flavour. The more traditional version featured buffalo mozzarella but we couldn't taste it. We queried whether it was there, it apparently was underneath the tomato mix. Too subtle. Three of us had the barramundi and mussel main course and it was absolutely magnificently cooked and thoroughly delicious. One of us had the battered fish and chips and was disappointed. She found the batter heavy and oily and the fish ok but ended the meal wishing she too had chosen the barra.

Great food, great location and great service. We shared a number of entrees and the tempest platter. Seafood was fresh and beautifully presented. Very relaxing.

Good food with good atmosphere. Oysters were nice and fresh but chicken wings were a little under done. Sauce was very tasty and wine was nicely chilled.

Beautiful food, small serves though. Lovely staff and dining environment. Quite expensive but ideal for special occasions. We will definitely go back again for a nice dinner.
