One of many dining options located along Melbourne’s de facto ‘pho mile’ – the Richmond stretch of Victoria Street – Thanh Nga Nine survives by virtue of their solid menu of everyone’s favourite Southeast Asian culinary genre, their outreach programme of regular market stall and food festival appearances, and the fact that the restaurant houses a free function room for up to thirty people complete with karaoke machine! The chef will tell you his mini panckaes are the best, while visitors to the Good Food & Wine Show will begin to salivate at the memory of Thanh Nga Nine’s banh mi stuffed with 48-hour marinated and chargrilled pork. With ample parking, wine by the glass and BYO all OK – Thanh Nga Nine’s popularity is such that a booking is essential!
The best Vietnamese on Victoria street, fresh food, friendly helpful floor staff. Can’t recommend it highly enough. One huge plus is you can see the kitchen from the restaurant, so you can see where your food is coming from and it’s very clean.
The restaurant is clean and well presented with sleek decor. The waitstaff are very attentive. The menu was extensive, it was hard to choose what I wanted to eat (I wanted it all) and there are many options available for patrons with food intolerances. The food was delicious. Would definitely return!
Great service from staff and food is consistently good. The mini pancakes and papaya salad are my favourite and always a hit with my friiends and guests when we visit.
